A match between Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair could certainly be the modern-day version of Trish Stratus vs. Lita or Charlotte Flair vs. Becky Lynch. These are the rivalries that revolutionized the women’s wrestling perspective and the two current top superstars on Raw and Smackdown will carry those trends forward.

Ever since her entry to the main roster all the way back in 2021, Rhea Ripley was built to be a force to be reckoned with. In a similar timespan, Bianca Belair also gained stems and become one of the great champions in recent times. After all, the latter held the Raw Women’s Championship for 420 days to become the longest-reigning champion of the modern era.

Rhea Ripley, on the other hand, is the only true Grand Slam Champion in the current WWE women’s roster as she had held all the belts available across NXT, the previous NXT UK brand, and in the main roster. At Night of Champions 2023, she defeated Natalya in just 70 seconds to retain her Smackdown Women’s Championship to showcase her dominant side.

While speaking on the Mark Andrews: My Love Letter to Wrestling podcast, Rhea Riley sounded ecstatic to feature in a storyline against Bianca Belair in the near future,

“I wanna have a massive story and build with Bianca [Belair]. There’s something so special there that could be done, so I want something to happen with Bianca and I.” (quotes courtesy Wrestling INC)

WWE does know that this is a main-event feud that should go down at a bigger stage of Wrestlemania and they have strategically kept them apart, for the time being. Following the 2023 WWE Draft, Rhea Ripley was retained on Raw while Bianca Belair was sent to the Raw brand. So, it’s unlikely that they will enter into a big feud in the imminent future.

Next year, they briefly engaged in a feud over the NXT Women’s Championship where The Nightmare retained the title at NXT TakeOver: Portland.
