The blue brand of WWE is gearing up for a massive change within three weeks. SmackDown Live is moving to Friday nights on FOX Sports leaving its current slot of Tuesday nights on the USA Network. The show is all set to make its official debut on the new platform on October 4th. The occasion will also mark the 20th anniversary of the show, as well.

Ahead of the big switch, promotions will be on full swing to make the occasion, auspicious than ever. FOX wants SmackDown to be more mainstream than ever and they will go all-out to force as many people tuning in when the first WWE show airs on their channel. But before that FOX will be airing special programs leading up to the big premiere set for October 4th.

FOX Network will be trying to revisit the enriched history of the WWE and hence they will be presenting some special moments. WWE’s biggest stars will be the host of these shows as an additional attraction. John Cena and The Miz will bring us the special moments from SmackDown for the past 20 years alongside some Wrestlemania moments. Check out the official statement on this,

On Sunday, Sept. 29, John Cena narrates WWE WRESTLEMANIA’S LEGENDARY MOMENTS, offering viewers a chance to relive the most spectacular WrestleMania moments from the past 35 years. Check local listings for air times surrounding Sunday’s NFL on FOX singleheader action.”

FOX Network has already launched a Twitter account leading up to the debut of SmackDown Live. This account will feature insight analysis across social media platforms. The network has also unveiled WWE related channels on Facebook and Instagram as these are the strongest mediums to reach the audience, all over the world.
Already, the main event match of SmackDown Live debut on FOX Network has a solid lineup where we will see the beast incarnate. Brock Lesnar will challenge Kofi Kingston for the WWE Championship as learned on this week’s episode. Additionally, legendary names like Sting, Trish Stratus, The Undertaker and more will be in attendance to make it perhaps the biggest show of 2019.
