Vince McMahon made a scheduled appearance on the Pat McAfee Show, recently to talk about a lot of aspects of professional wrestling. In general, The Boss doesn’t attend interview sessions since he doesn’t like these things. But this incredible rare appearance went down since he wanted to announce and push a Wrestlemania matchup for Pat McAfee.
It was announced during last night’s Smackdown, that Vince McMahon will be the special guest on the Pat McAfee Show, and with that the rumors of his in-ring return have also been indicated. The show aired on Youtube and SiriusXM Channel 82 on the usual Monday- Friday at 12 noon ET slot and it revealed The Boss’ view about his family.

Vince McMahon went ahead to talk about his family’s involvement in the wrestling business. His wife Linda, as well as children Shane and Stephanie, have been part of the company for a long time. All of these names have been helping hands for The Boss, be it on-screen or behind the scenes. But for a workaholic like him, he always wanted his successors to be involved in more capacities.
Vince McMahon isn’t pleased with his family involvements in WWE
“You have to be objective, you know, and look at family members or whoever it is just as you would other employees. And quite frankly, I’ve probably expected more, you know out of my family members, which is probably not the right thing to say. But nonetheless, it’s like, you have to do the right thing for the business. So if this person is not working out, then they shouldn’t be a part of the company.”
While Triple H and Stephanie McMahon continue to work for the WWE, it’s worth mentioning to inform that Vince McMahon had a fall-out with Shane, behind the scenes during the 2022 Royal Rumble, this past January. The McMahon Sr. reportedly shot down ideas proposed by Shane for the Men’s Royal Rumble match which led to the latter’s departure from the company.
While there’s no confirmation is available, it’s believed that Shane is no more involved in the WWE after the Rumble fallouts. The supposed exit even fueled up rumors that he might end up signing with the AEW. Only time will tell whether the younger McMahon indeed goes up against Vince McMahon in due course.
