From the day of her entry into the main roster in early 2021, her rise in popularity was duly noticed by the fans as she currently continues to dominate the WWE Women’s World Title picture.
As 2023 comes to a close, Rhea Ripley has now added another accolade to her achievement list. With the WWE Women’s World Championship around her waist, she has spent more than 200 days to set a new record. Given that she’s also the inaugural champion with the title, she also remains the longest-reigning holder of this brand-new title belt that arrived on Raw in May of this year.

Rhea Ripley began her title reign at WrestleMania 39 when she dethroned Charlotte Flair to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship. With that win, she also became the first-ever true Grand Slam winner in WWE women’s division history.
The Australian Superstar would successfully defend the title at WWE Backlash against Zelina Vega which was her first title defense. In the latest, she defended it against Raquel Rodriguez at Payback in September. At Crown Jewel, the women’s world title will be on the line in a fatal-5-way which will be the biggest women’s division match in the history of WWE’s Saudi Arabia PLEs.

Rhea Ripley has been the inaugural WWE Women’s World Champion
During the 2023 edition of WWE Draft, Rhea Ripley was chosen by Raw, and at WWE Night of Champions, she would retain against Natalya in just 18 seconds after a distraction came from Dominik Mysterio. On that night, Asuka a SmackDown Superstar, captured the Raw Women’s Championship from Bianca Belair. Rather than the two exchanging the titles, both women would go on to receive new championships.
Rhea Ripley would thus become the first WWE Women’s World Champion while Asuka became the first holder of the returning WWE Women’s Championship. Over on Raw, Judgment Day’s involvements allowed a dominant title run for their MAMI who also is the self-proclaimed leader of the group.
On the red brand, Rhea Ripley’s first title defense with this new championship came on the July 4, 2023 Raw against Natalya. The Judgment Day member defeated Natalya at the WWE Superstar Spectacle in India for the title. Her dominance also helped her to secure the top spot in the PWI 250 women wrestlers’ list.
