Roman Reigns is away from the WWE for almost a couple of months but he’s not completely out of the conversation. Being the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, he has to be the talk of the town all the time. As his return approaches closer, he could be eyeing the fresh star in Bron Breakker as Paul Heyman has been sent to scout him during this coming episode of NXT.

The champion himself is reportedly returning to television, next week and he’s waiting for another major record. As reported by WWFOldSchool, Roman Reigns needs 5 more wins to reach 1,000 total wins in WWE.

While he hasn’t competed since Summerslam, his next match will take place on October 14th where he will defend the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Raw roster member Sami Zayn at a WWE Live Event at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City.

This will be Roman Reigns’ first appearance on a non-televised WWE house show after a few months. For the past few weeks, he has been advertised to appear on the October 27 episode of Smackdown. But in reality, reports indicate that the champion will be back on TV on the October 13 episode of the blue brand episode which will be the first post-Fastlane edition.

Earlier this year, Roman Reigns crossed 1,000 days as the universal champion and he was presented with a new championship. He then surpassed 1,042 days as champion which makes him the longest-reigning champion in WWE history since the innovation of WrestleMania in 1985.
