IPL 2021: The UAE Government Would Allow 60 Percent Attendance For 2nd Phase Of IPL 2021 At UAE

IPL 2021 received a big boost when the UAE government decided to allow 60 percent attendance at the stadiums for the second phase of the IPL 2021. This decision was taken after thorough consultations with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB), as per the reports in the Telegraph.

Earlier, when the BCCI hosted the IPL 2021 in India before it got indefinitely postponed due to a bio-bubble breach, where no crowds were allowed at the venues, keeping the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in mind.

IPL 2021: The UAE Government’s Decision To Allow 60 Percent Attendance Will Come As A Massive Boost For Players Playing IPL 2021

Likewise, no spectators were allowed to watch the games live during IPL 2020, when the entire tournament was played in the UAE. With 60 percent of the audience turning up at the stadiums, it will be a massive boost for the players while playing the IPL matches.

The BCCI had announced the entire schedule of the remainder of IPL 2021 last month. According to it, in the span of over 27 days, a total of 31 matches will be played.  Amit Mishra(DC), Sandeep Warrier, Varun Chakravarthy(KKR), and Wriddhiman Saha(SRH) contracted the virus. Chennai Super Kings’ batting coach Michael Hussey and bowling coach Laxmipathy Balaji had also contracted the virus in India which led to the indefinite postponement of IPL 2021.

The second phase of IPL 2021 will commence on September 19 with a game between the Mumbai Indians (MI) and the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Dubai. A total of 31 games, including the playoffs, will be played in this phase of the tournament. It will come to a close with the final on October 15. Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah are the three venues shortlisted to host the remaining IPL 2021 matches.

CSK and the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) were second and third with five wins from seven games, while MI was fourth with four wins in seven matches.

The Rajasthan Royals (RR) and the Punjab Kings (PBKS) have won three games each out of seven and eight matches, respectively. Kolkata Knight Riders won just two games out of seven, while Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) got over the line only once in seven appearances and is at the bottom of the points table.

Delhi Capitals leg-spinner Amit Mishra took to Twitter to give an update on his recovery and express his gratitude towards the front-line health workers.

“The real heroes. Our Frontline workers. All I can say post my recovery is, You have my support and heartfelt appreciation for all you do,” he tweeted.

“We are deeply grateful to you for all the sacrifices that you and your family are making…#grateful #coronawarriors #bcci #DelhiCapitals,” he added.

Leg-spinner Amit Mishra remains a vital cog in the Delhi Capitals’ machinery. The wily leg-spinner, who has the most hat-tricks in the tournament, has 166 IPL wickets against his name. While the injury cut short his IPL 2020 journey, the veteran spinner picked 6 wickets in 4 games averaging 18.16 before contracting the virus as a result of which IPL 2021 was suspended indefinitely. He is the 2nd highest wicket-taker after Lasith Malinga(170 scalps).

Prasidh Krishna Was 4th Player Of KKR To Contract The Dreaded Covid-19 Virus

Prasidh Krishna, who plays for the Kolkata Knight Riders, was the fourth player from the franchise to return a positive test after Varun Chakravarthy, Sandeep Warrier, and Tim Seifert. He had been in home isolation in Bengaluru. The Indian squad is scheduled to assemble in Mumbai on Wednesday and, subsequently, undergo a hard quarantine before its departure to England in the first week of June.

In 3 ODIs against England, he picked 6 scalps averaging 29. He also picked 26 scalps in 31 IPL games averaging 40. He picked 8 scalps in 7 games in IPL 2021.

Aakash Chopra Praised AB de Villiers For Delivering Goods Against KKR And Delhi Capitals In IPL 2021

Aakash Chopra has lauded AB de Villiers’ match-winning performances for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in IPL 2021 despite being made to bat lower down in the order.

AB de Villiers predominantly batted at No.5 for RCB, with Glenn Maxwell sent ahead of him. The strategy worked wonders as the duo emerged as the highest run-getters for RCB in IPL 2021.

Aakash Chopra Terms AB de Villiers Genius As It Doesn’t Matter To Him Whether He Plays At No. 5 Or In Mars

In a video shared on his YouTube channel, former cricketer-turned-commentator Aakash Chopra termed AB de Villiers a ‘genius’ for dishing out exemplary performances in his new role at No.5 in the batting order.

“AB de Villiers is a genius. It is because all of us were saying that he should be batted up the order because the more deliveries you give him, the more impact he will have. But RCB was sending him at No.5.

“If you are sending him at No.5, how will the team and he do well? But AB de Villiers said it does not matter to him whether you play him at No.5 or in Mars, he will be absolutely fine,” said Aakash Chopra.

The former India player was particularly appreciative of AB de Villiers’ exhilarating knock against the Kolkata Knight Riders on the slow Chepauk surface.

“The knock he played against KKR was an absolute belter of an innings. He hit a flurry of fours and sixes while no one was able to score runs on that ground in the last four overs. But it was the class of AB de Villiers, who delivered once again,” pointed out Aakash Chopra.

AB de Villiers smashed an unbeaten 76 off just 34 deliveries in that encounter. The knock, which was studded with nine fours and three sixes, helped RCB breach the 200-run mark and they eventually won the match by 38 runs.

Aakash Chopra: AB De Villiers Class Made The Difference In Crucial Encounters Against KKR And Delhi Capitals

Aakash Chopra also spoke in glowing terms about AB de Villiers’ belligerent unbeaten 75 against the Delhi Capitals which helped RCB register a one-run win.

“He played another knock against Delhi. There was a storm which had come but before that an AB de Villiers named storm had come and blew the opposition team away with his amazing performance,” said Chopra.

The former KKR player concluded by hailing AB de Villiers as the game-changer for RCB in crucial matches.

“He is that kind of a player. Wherever you play him, he brings the best out of himself. It was just the AB class that actually made the difference in crucial encounters against KKR and Delhi,” signed off Chopra.

AB de Villiers scored 207 runs at an excellent average of 51.75 and a stupendous strike rate of 164.28 in IPL 2021 before it got suspended midway. Apart from his knocks against KKR and DC, the Proteas great also made a telling contribution in RCB’s win against the Mumbai Indians in the opening match of IPL 2021.

AB de Villiers, who became the sixth batsman to score 5000 IPL runs and the only one at a strike rate of more than 150, hit an unbeaten 75 off 42 balls against Delhi Capitals with five sixes and three fours to help RCB post 171 for 5, which turned out to be just enough as DC scored 170 for 4 and lost the match by 1 run.

AB De Villiers hung up his boots in 2018, bringing an end to his illustrious 15-year-old cricketing career for South Africa but since last year, the talismanic batsman has been speaking about making a u-turn on retirement. He had aggregated 207 runs in 6 innings at an average of 51.75 at a highly impressive strike rate of 164.28 in IPL 2021.

IPL 2020: Delhi Capitals Will Be Hoping Shikhar Dhawan And Ravichandran Ashwin To Come Good Against SRH – Kris Srikkanth

Former Indian cricketer Kris Srikkanth believes that Delhi Capitals (DC) can only have the upper hand against SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) had individual performances come good. DC will clash against SRH in the second qualifier on Sunday (November 8) to face Mumbai Indians in the grand finale of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 on November 10.

In the column written to Times of India, Kris Srikkanth had measured SRH above in all the departments when comparing to DC and concluded that Hyderabad was likely to be the winner. But he believes that some ‘individual brilliance’ can change the momentum for DC. He stated that Shikhar Dhawan, batting at the top, while Ravichandran Ashwin with the ball, needs to come good.

“Individual brilliance can fling any prediction through the window in this format. Delhi will only be hoping for Dhawan to have a fun-filled day and Ashwin to come good with the ball, especially during the powerplay,” Kris Srikkanth wrote.

Although DC has best pacers Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje, Srikkanth stated that Ashwin’s role is pivotal in powerplays because the pacers have not necessarily picked wickets in the first six overs.

“In (Kagiso) Rabada and (Anrich) Nortje, Delhi have two new-ball merchants who have picked wickets but not necessarily in the first six overs. This is where the contribution of Ashwin is vital,” he wrote.

Kris Srikkanth advises to Delhi Capitals:

At last, the former chief selector concluded that DC needs to bring Shimron Hetmyer back in the attack to boost the middle-order while Daniel Sams can be replaced with any Indian seamer.

“If I were to pick Delhi’s XI, I would definitely bring in (Shimron) Hetmyer to boost the middle order. The think-tank has to identify an Indian option for seamer Sams in order to give the side a better chance of upstaging a side that is on a roll,” he said.

Delhi Capitals have lost the first qualifier against Mumbai Indians. Although bowlers could not restrict MI to give massive targets, their batting performance was more disappointing. They need to come back stronger against SRH, who have momentum and rhythm all in their favour.

IPL 2020: Delhi Capitals vs Royal Challengers Bangalore – DC Predicted XI

Delhi Capitals (DC) are going to play a do-or-die match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Monday (November 2) in Abu Dhabi in their last league match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020.

Although they are at number third position on the IPL 2020 points table, Delhi Capitals need to grab the two crucial points against RCB to secure the spot in playoffs. Like the Bangalore team, their batting performance has been much more disappointing than bowling.

Striving for their first maiden IPL trophy, DC needs to put on the best show against RCB, who are also desperate to win this match.

Let’s take a look at Delhi Capitals Predicted XI against RCB:

Prithvi Shaw:

Prithvi Shaw

After being given a break for a couple of matches, Prithvi Shaw returned to the playing XI against MI, but the youngster could not change his fate. He was once again out for his bad shot selection, leaving his team under pressure and adding burden to score runs on the middle order. The opening batsman had to play a sensible knock against RCB to fulfil the dream of his team.

Shikhar Dhawan:

Shikhar Dhawan
Shikhar Dhawan (Image Credit: IPL)

After scoring back to back two centuries, Shikhar Dhawan has been out for a duck in the last two matches. With his opening batsman already struggling, the southpaw needs to stay long in the field and take the team to a good position.

Shreyas Iyer:

IPL 2020: Delhi Capitals vs Royal Challengers Bangalore - DC Predicted XI 2

The pressure has mounted on the Delhi Capitals captain after the early loss of the openers in the last matches. As a result, he has also not played freely, losing his wickets cheaply.

Shreyas Iyer will badly want to win the match against RCB to keep their hopes alive of playing in the playoffs.

Rishabh Pant:

IPL 2020: Delhi Capitals vs Royal Challengers Bangalore - DC Predicted XI 3

The wicket-keeper batsman, Rishabh Pant, has not been able to accelerate the innings for Delhi Capitals after he has returned to the team after recovering from injury. He had the opportunity to become the hero for DC, but he has failed to stand up to the expectations. He has not been to score a half-century, so far, in this season while his highest score is 38 runs. To secure the place in the playoffs, Pant needs to step in and take responsibility.

Shimron Hetmyer:

The power hitter, Shimron Hetmyer, has also given a disappointing performance. Against MI, in a hurry to play a shot, he lost his wicket for 11 runs. The Windies got to get the runs for them against RCB.

Marcus Stoinis:

Marcus Stoinis

Marcus Stoinis, the fast-bowling allrounder, had disappointing outings in his last three matches. He has proven to be expensive with the ball while also has lost his wicket early. In the last three matches, he has scored 6, 5 and 2 runs respectively—the Australian needs to end the run draught and get the team across the line.

Axar Patel:

Delhi Capitals allrounder has also not managed to set the stage on fire as he has gone wicketless while had also failed to grab runs. Against MI, he was dropped while Harshal Patel was given the opportunity, but he also gave a poor outing. So, Patel will regain his place in the playing XI.

Kagiso Rabada:

IPL 2020: Kagiso Rabada

The major set back for Delhi Capitals was Kagiso Rabada going wicketless against SunRisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians. As his four overs are decisive for DC, he was ineffective against Saha and Manish Pandey as he conceded 54 runs. Against MI, although he had not too many runs to defend, he could not give the breakthrough to them.

Ravichandran Ashwin:

Ravichandran Ashwin

SRH batsmen badly thrashed Ravichandran Ashwin, but he bounced back stronger against MI, leaking only 18 runs in his four overs quota but could not pick the wicket which was the need of the hour.

Anrich Nortje:

Anrich Nortje was the only one who has been impressive even though Delhi Capitals have not won the matches. He ran through the top-order of KKR, picking the wicket of Shubman Gill and Rahul Tripathi. Against SRH, he picked the wicket of Wriddhiman Saha. In the last match, the speedster got the wicket of Quinton de Kock.

IPL 2020: Delhi Capitals vs Rajasthan Royals – RR Predicted XI

Rajasthan Royals (RR) middle-order has been a problem this Indian Premier League (IPL) season, but they won their last match against SRH because of their middle-order batsmen’s effort. The victory would have surely boosted their confidence as they move to play their next match against Delhi Capitals on Wednesday (October 14) in Dubai.

To beat Delhi Capitals, Rajasthan Royals is likely to enter with the same XI, which had won the match against SRH. Moreover, they are going to collide against each other for the second time in the ongoing IPL 2020. In their first meeting in Sharjah, RR had faced defeat. But they will like to register the victory in Dubai to maintain their winning streak.

Rajasthan Royals predicted XI against Delhi Capitals:

1. Jos Buttler:

Jos Buttler

Jos Buttler is a vital cog for Rajasthan Royals, but he has lost his wicket cheaply and early in the last two matches. His early return to the pavilion had hurt the team. He would look to play a big knock against Delhi Capitals, which has the likes of Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje and Ravichandran Ashwin.

2. Steve Smith:

Steven Smith (Image Credit: BCCI/IPL)

In the last match against SRH, Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler were the opening pairs, but there were no positive results out of that strategy. So, Steve Smith will once again promote himself in the opener position. The Rajasthan Royals captain has played three matches as the opener this season, and the result has also been positive.

3. Sanju Samson:

Sanju Samson

Sanju Samson started the season like a firestorm, but after the first two matches, he has fizzled out. Well, this has always been the story for the Indian cricketer. In last season as well, after playing, two impressive knocks, he struggled to bat in the next matches. But Rajasthan Royals will want him to make a stronger comeback against Delhi Capitals to open their path for winning.

4. Robin Uthappa:

Robin Uthappa

Robin Uthappa has not given the output par with his experience. He has scored 5, 9, 2, 17 and 18 runs respectively in the ongoing IPL 2020. The veteran batsman will be backed for further three to four games to give him the chance to find his form back.

5. Riyan Parag:

The youngster starred in the victory against SRH. He stitched a gritty partnership with Rahul Tewaita while scored 42 runs off 26 balls to guide Rajasthan Royals to get over the line. The franchise will want him to give a similar performance during the tournament to keep them in a good position.

6. Ben Stokes:

Ben Stokes return has made Rajasthan Royals bowling and batting unit look stronger. Although he could not score in his first match of the IPL 2020 against SRH, he is the match-winner for any team. England allrounder will act as the finisher while his contribution to bowling will also play a crucial role for them.

7. Rahul Tewatia:

Rahul Tewatia

Rahul Tewatia has come out as the game-changer for Rajasthan Royals in the ongoing season. He has two times lead the team to victory with his hard-hitting batting. When there was no hope of RR’s victory, Tewatia has stood up to be the warrior for them. The franchise will want him to give the similar performance and always be their hope in this season.

8. Jofra Archer:

Jofra Archer

Jofra Archer is playing as the allrounder this season. His small but impactful innings with the bat have helped Rajasthan Royals to put a good score on the board. The pacer has picked up nine wickets in seven matches at the economy rate of 6.82 while has scored 88 runs at the strike rate of 220.00.

9. Shreyas Gopal:

The leg-spinner has been effective in the UAE pitches. He has picked up four wickets in seven matches. Apart from bowling, he is also a big-hitter at the lower order. Royals will look from to pick quick wickets of DC’s talent batsmen.

10. Kartik Tyagi:

Kartik Tyagi

Kartik Tyagi will play his fourth match of IPL 2020 against the Rajasthan Royals. He has picked one wicket in each in the last three matches, including the wicket of Quinton de Kock and Shimron Hetmyer. The pacer has got the praise from many former cricketers for his bowling action and pace bowling. The franchise will expect him to have a great season and give them breakthroughs.

11. Jaydev Unadkat:

IPL 2020: Delhi Capitals vs Rajasthan Royals - RR Predicted XI 6

Although the pacer has proved expensive, he has retained his place in the playing XI. He has picked only two wickets in five matches at the poor economy rate of 9.37. He was dropped against Delhi Capitals in their first meeting and in place of him Varun Aaron was included who proved to be more expensive than Unadkat. So, the Saurashtra cricketer will be given the place in the XI.

IPL 2020: Delhi Capitals vs Rajasthan Royals – DC Predicted XI

Placed at the number second spot on the points table, Delhi Capitals (DC) faced their second defeat of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 against Mumbai Indians in their last match. They are now set to face Rajasthan Royals (RR), who are coming off from a victory, on Wednesday (October 14) at Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai.

Delhi Capitals has already a well-balanced combination of young and talented players lead by Shreyas Iyer. The defeat against MI will not lead to many changes in DC’s playing XI, but they will surely like to register a win against Rajasthan Royals to maintain their position in the table and bring back the confidence in the team.

Delhi Capitals has gone with Prithvi Shaw as the opener for this season, and he has also been successful in giving a good start. But Shaw has lost his wicket because of silly mistakes, mostly while rushing to play big shots. DC will want him to play a sensible knock against Rajasthan Royals.

2. Shikhar Dhawan:

Shikhar Dhawan

Shikhar Dhawan is clearly struggling this year to get runs from his bat. In the last match against Mumbai Indians, he remained not out and scored 69 off 52 balls, but he batted too conservatively. The power-hitting was missing in his innings which DC needed to put a fighting score. However, this knock will boost Dhawan’s confidence and is a good thing for Delhi Capitals.

3. Ajinkya Rahane:

Ajinkya Rahane played the first match for Delhi Capitals against Mumbai Indians. He showed his class with the bat after hitting effortless fours before losing his wicket to Krunal Pandya. The veteran will look to play a big knock against Rajasthan Royals to fill the void of Shimron Hetmyer.

4. Shreyas Iyer:

Shreyas Iyer

Delhi Capitals captain Shreyas Iyer has very well taken the responsibility at no. 3. He has scored 245 runs in seven matches at the strike rate of 138. 41. Apart from his batting, the youngster’s captaincy has also been praised which has given the franchise a good start.

5. Alex Carey:

Shreyas Iyer has stated that Rishabh Pant will be out for play for one week because of his injury. As a result, Alex Carey will play the match against Rajasthan Royals. Delhi Capitals will want him to fill up the space of the big-hitter Rishabh Pant.

6. Marcus Stoinis:

Marcus Stoinis

Marcus Stoinis is a vital cog for Delhi Capitals both with bat and ball. He is the big hitter while had also got the knack of picking wickets at crunch situation. His bowling against Kings XI Punjab is unforgettable which had led the game to super over. In the last seven matches, the Australian allrounder has scored 175 runs at the strike rate of 175.00 and picked six wickets. He is undoubtedly going to play all the matches for DC this season.

7. Axar Patel:

Axar Patel, the lanky allrounder, has given valuable contribution with the ball. He has picked six wickets in six matches at the staggering economy rate of 5.05. Patel had also given crucial contribution against RR in Sharjah as he scored 17 runs off 8 balls. Although it was a short innings, it was very impactful. Delhi Capitals will want him to showcase similar performance in Dubai.

8. Harshal Patel:

Harshal Patel has so far played four matches and has picked up three wickets. The 29-year-old pacer proved to be expensive in the last match against Mumbai Indians. He will surely look to bounce back stronger against RR.

9. Ravichandran Ashwin:

Ravichandran Ashwin, the lone spinner, in the team has been extraordinary this season. Against RR in their last meeting, he picked the crucial wicket of Jos Buttler and Mahipal Lomror while gave away 22 runs in his four-over. If he produces the same masterpiece again, Delhi Capitals are surely going to have the upper hand in the game.

10. Kagiso Rabada:

Kagiso Rabada is the game changer and match-winner for Delhi Capitals. His only presence in the bowling attack makes them stronger. The fast bowler has picked up 17 wickets, including one four-wicket haul,  in seven matches at the economy rate of 7.69.

11. Anrich Nortje:

Anrich Nortje got the place in the playing XI after Ishant Sharma surfaced with injury but has impressed with pace bowling. He has snared eight wickets in seven matches at the economy rate of 7.21. The Proteas has now become a vital cog and an indispensable part of Delhi Capitals.

IPL 2020: Kevin Pietersen Comes Out in Support of Ravichandran Ashwin On The Mankading Issue

Former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen has come out to back Delhi Capitals’ Ravichandran Ashwin on the issue of Mankading. A recent incident involving Ravichandran Ashwin and Aaron Finch in the DC vs RCB clash, where the former only warned Finch of Mankading when he was caught running early from the non-striker’s end. Ashwin, who has joined DC from KXIP this season did mankading of Jos Buttler, last season in KXIP’s clash against RR.

However, Pietersen was not in the favour of Ashwin back then but now has grown a sentiment for him over the issues of Mankading.

I think what he did was perfect: Kevin Pietersen backs Ravichandran Ashwin on issuing Mankading warning to Finch

Kevin Pietersen, who is a part of the IPL commentary team mentioned that the act of Mankading was frowned upon when he played. He said Mankading is in the rule books and is to be allowed but seeing the Finch- Ashwin incident and how far Finch was before Ashwin released the ball, he feels Ashwin did the right thing.

“Apparently (Mankading) is in the coaching manuals now and is to be allowed,” said Pietersen.

“(But) seeing how far down the wicket Aaron Finch was, almost stealing two metres before Ashwin bowled, I think what he did was perfect, Finch, get back in your crease. Do not steal runs!” he added.

Kevin Pietersen says in the past 12 months he has changed his thoughts and he now backs Ashwin’s actions

KP revealed watching the same incident twelve months back, he would’ve criticized Ashwin’s act but not having analyzed it he feels it’s the right thing to do.

“Watching Ashwin do it twelve months ago I would have said, ‘come on mate, no no no’” but “having thought it over the past 12 months, (I think) it was absolutely perfect what he did,” said Kevin Pietersen.

IPL 2020: Delhi Capitals vs Rajasthan Royals – DC Predicted XI

The Delhi Capitals are having their best start to an IPL campaign with four wins in their first five matches. The DC side have a great blend of experience and youth in their team this season, which is giving them the result on pitch. The youngest captain in IPL, 25 year old Shreyas Iyer is leading his side appreciably. DC have faced a major blow with veteran spinner Amit Mishra being ruled out of the tournament due to a finger fracture.

37-year-old Mishra with 160 wickets, is the second-highest wicket-taker in the IPL and highest among spin bowlers in the history of the IPL. He was performing well for the Capitals this term, bagging three wickets in three matches with an economy of 7.34. DC are set to face RR in their next clash on October 9 at the Sharjah cricket stadium.

IPL 2020: Delhi Capitals vs Rajasthan Royals – RR Predicted XI

The Rajasthan Royals (RR had started off their IPL 2020 campaign with two back-to-back victories, but have since lost three consecutive matches. The batting order looks in turmoil with inconsistency, and getting runs on the board has been hard for the team. Captain Steve Smith and Sanju Samson had a blasting start this season but in the last three matches have lost their wicket early on in the start.

Royals are set to face Delhi Capitals next on October 9, who until now have the best record in the tournament this year with four wins in five matches. The Rajasthan camp had a sigh of relief when Ben Stokes travelled to the UAE last week to join the Jaipur-based franchise. He is in quarantine at the moment and will be available to play in their match against SRH on October 11.

Here’s our predicted XI for Rajasthan Royals

1. Jos Buttler

Jos Buttler had a slow start to IPL 2020 but looks to have found his flow back. Buttler scored an emphatic 70 runs in Rajasthan Royals’ failed chase of 194 runs, against Mumbai Indians. The wicket-keeper batsman has scored 114 runs total in four matches played this term.

2. Steve Smith

Rajasthan gave a second opportunity to their new 18-year-old signing Yashasvi Jaiswal in their match against Mumbai. He again failed to deliver and was dismissed for 0. Rajasthan Royals might drop him again and play Steve Smith at the top with Jos Buttler, considering the fierce pace bowling of Delhi Capitals.

The skipper scored two fifties in the first two matches but has since lost his momentum. He will look to add some runs against DC for the team.

3. Sanju Samson

The 25-year-old batsman had a thumping start to the IPL 2020 with two Man of the Match performances, but just like captain Smith, he has failed to deliver ever since. With the match against Delhi being played in Sharjah, Samson may take advantage of the smaller ground to score a knock and get his confidence back.

6. Riyan Parag

The 18-year-old can be fielded again on the pitch against DC, with Yashasvi Jaiswal failing to perform yet again. A shuffle can be seen for Jaiswal and Parag with the latter resting in the last match and paving way for Jaiswal who failed to make a mark.

7. Tom Curran

Curran has been expensive bowling for Rajasthan and not too good with the bat either. With his compatriot Ben Stokes looking to make a return in their match against SRH, Curran could play his last game of IPL 2020 for RR against DC, making way for his fellow countryman.
