Bobby Lashley On His Plans After Goldberg Feud

The former three times World Champion Bobby Lashley who is also a former two times WWE Intercontinental Champion recently expressed his plans after he would be done with the former three time WWE World Champion and WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg.

Lashley and Goldberg would meet each other in a No Holds Barred match at the Crown Jewel pay per view event of WWE that will take place this Thursday. The feud started at SummerSlam just a couple of months ago when Lashley was the WWE Champion. Goldberg came out to challenge him for the title at SummerSlam. After Lashley accepted the challenge the duo met at the “biggest party of the summer.”

Lashley won the match at the end after the referee stopped it and declared Lashley as the winner. After the match, he attempted to attack Goldberg once again, in the meantime Gage Goldberg came out to help his father only to get knocked out by Lashley. Meanwhile Goldberg came out recently to seek his revenge on Lashley. The match between the duo has been book at the Crown Jewel pay-per-view event that will take place at Riyadh, Saudi Arabia this Thursday.

Lashley had a terrible time since dropping the WWE title to big E. He kept losing to the current WWE champion again and again. Even in a six man tag team match at Extreme Rules, Big E pinned Lashley to earn victory for his side. This was a terrible look for the former champion.

If he could not beat Goldberg he would be completely buried. Lashley recently made his mind clear that after he would be done with gold work he would challenge Big E for the WWE title again. But if he loses to Goldberg, he could never recover from the situation to become a worthy number one contender for the WWE title.

Bobby Lashley who is also a former two times WWE Intercontinental Champion recently spoke to where he expressed his plans after he would be done with the former three time WWE world champion and WWE Hall of famer Goldberg. He said;

“100%. I think once you establish yourself as one of those top guys, that champion, you’re always going to be in the picture. I think there’s still some unfinished business with me and Big E, me and Drew, me and a lot of the guys on the roster.

“So I think I’ll probably have to walk through a couple of guys, but I think ultimately I’ll be right back in that title contention.”

Bobby Lashley On Thinking Crown Jewel Being Interesting, Talks The Presence Of Gage Goldberg

Former three times World champion in WWE Bobby Lashley who is also a former to time WWE Intercontinental Champion recently said that he thought his Crown Jewel match against Goldberg would be very interesting. He also talked about Gage Goldberg who would be present at Crown Jewel.

The feud between the two former WWE World Champions started before SummerSlam. Bobby Lashley was having an excellent run with the WWE championship which he even before WrestleMania 37 after beating the previous WWE Champion The Miz. At WrestleMania 37 she is defended his Championship successfully against Drew McIntyre. He kept on retaining his Championship against every opponent he faced. He was going as a very dominant champion.

Bobby Lashley On Thinking Crown Jewel Being Interesting, Talks The Presence Of Gage Goldberg

At SummerSlam he was challenged by the former three times WWE world champion Goldberg. On paper it looked like a very difficult challenge for Lashley. But at the end of the day it was not as he won the match by referee stoppage. But during the process Lashley hurt Gage Goldberg, the son of Bill Goldberg. Lashley claimed it to be accidental but this is one of the biggest reason behind the continuation of the feud.

At the Crown Jewel pay per view event this Thursday, Lashley will face Goldberg in a rematch from SummerSlam. But this time it will not be a regular one on one match, this time it will be a No Holds Barred match. There would be no title on the line since Lashley lost his title to Big E recently and failed to win it back.

There is not enough expectation from this match since the recent performances of Goldberg was not up to the mark. Lashley just has to win this match, he has already lost a lot of momentum against Big E after losing back to back matches. If he loses to Goldberg again, he will be completely buried.

Bobby Lashley who is also a former to time WWE Intercontinental Champion recently spoke to Busted Open Radio where he said that he thought his Crown Jewel match against Goldberg would be very interesting. He also talked about Gage Goldberg who would be present at Crown Jewel. He said;

“It’s going to be a crazy match,” Lashley said. “A Goldberg match is a certain kind of match, and we just added some elements to it. This one is going to be a very interesting one, because I think a lot of people are trying to figure out who’s going to win this one. There’s a lot of steam behind Goldberg because of what happened to his son.

Bobby Lashley

“Is he going to avenge his son? Right now I’m steam rolling people. Is it going to be something where I go out there, have a match with him and ultimately just walk over him? I don’t know. I’m being me, I’m always me. I go out there, I’m training my ass off and I’m ready for it. So whatever kind of match we have out there, I think it’s going to be a good one.”

“Man I’m going to win. There’s no strategies. I have friends, he has friends. He has his son that’s going to be there. Everybody knows there’s a possibility that anything can happen. But ultimately I’m going to win. So if somebody happens to jump in the ring, whether it’s Gage, whether it’s, I don’t know, anybody. But ultimately it’s going to be me putting my hands all over him.”

“I think I have the advantage. Across the board, I don’t see where he has the advantage in any kind of match. Goldberg is Goldberg and will always be Goldberg. He comes out there and destroys people, but I almost see this match as the passing of the guard.

“Eventually, I’m going to be slowed down and tired to an extent. I think I’m that guy who comes back to disrupt peoples shine when they are doing big things. I’ll come back and challenge the champ because I’ve established myself. Through this matchups with Goldberg, it’s to establish myself on another level as that guy.

“Across that board, of course he has the opportunity to pull something out and catch a win over me but I think ultimately, it’s my time and he’s passing that Goldberg torch over to me where it’s now the Lashley torch and it’s Lashley that comes back to take out the champion in years to come.”

Booker T Speaks On Bobby Lashley’s Future

Two times WWE Hall of Famer Booker T who is a former five time WCW World Heavyweight champion and also a former WWE World Heavyweight Champion recently talked about the future of the former WWE champion Bobby Lashley.

When Bobby Lashley started in WWE career back in 2005, he was instantly portrayed as a big thing. He even won the ECW World Championship during the time when it seriously meant something. But soon WWE realised the push for Laahley is too early and they let him go for the time. Lashley went to different promotions to gain more maturity.

Booker T Speaks On Bobby Lashley’s Future

In 2018, Lashley returned to WWE after having a wonderful spell outside of the WWE. He first worked as an upper mid card. He got two WWE Intercontinental Championship runs. On the first occasion he snatched the title away from Dean Ambrose, and on the next one, he defeated Finn Balor to win the title. But he dropped the title in only one month time to Finn Balor when he faced in at Wrestlemania 35.

Earlier this year, WWE decided to push him as the face of Monday Night RAW when he defeated the Miz for the WWE championship who cash in his Money in the Bank contract on the previous champion Drew McIntyre. Laahley had an amazing run as a champion. He remained undefeated at WrestleMania 37 against Drew McIntyre as well. He finally dropped the title just a number of weeks ago to Big E cashed in his Money in the Bank contract on him.

Booker T who is a former five time WCW World Heavyweight champion recently during his Hall of Fame Podcast talked about the future of the former WWE champion Bobby Lashley. He said;

Bobby Lashley

“First of all, unless your certain people, you’re never gonna be the guy at the top of the card all the time. That’s just not gonna happen. You’re gonna find yourself in the upper midcard and whatnot. But a guy like Bobby, he’s what I call a made man. Over this last year, Bobby has done the best work I’ve ever seen him do in the business thus far.

“He’s put himself in a place as a star and go-to-guy, especially with MVP at his side. That’s the one caveat with this whole thing. MVP just underwent knee surgery and we know he’s gonna be out for a while. The question is gonna be, is Bobby Lashley gonna be a totally different Bobby Lashley without MVP by his side for a few months?

Bobby Lashley
Bobby Lashley. Image Credits: Twitter

“I don’t think Bobby is gonna have a problem staying in his position. There again, you’ve gotta look at the roster. Who do I put in Bobby Lashley’s spot? Who’s gonna get me more bang for my buck other than Bobby?

“You can’t look too many places, you really cant. I’m not just saying that because I like Bobby and he’s a friend or anything like that. I always say, I look at the guys on the roster and could they match up with me, could they size up with me, could they go out and pull weight like me?

“I would always say, most of the time, I don’t think so. I think right now, that’s where Bobby is. You look at the roster and you look at Bobby. Who you gonna pick? You’re gonna pick Bobby Lashley…..Bobby was built properly this last run. You just go wow. Definitely, I think Bobby is gonna find himself back in that spot.”

WWE Crown Jewel 2021: Goldberg Vs. Bobby Lashley No Holds Barred Match Set

One of the co-main-event matches for WWE Crown Jewel 2021 has been announced during this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw. The Draft Night Two from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee witnessed the return of Goldberg on WWE TV who is now booked in a much-anticipated rematch against Bobby Lashley. This one was evident to happen after what transpired on Summerslam 2021, this past August.

Bobby Lashley defeated Goldberg in the co-main-event of SummerSlam 2021 to retain the WWE Championship. Goldberg suffered a leg injury after MVP’s attack with a stick and couldn’t continue as the referee had to stop the match. Lashley kept on attacking Goldberg after the match which led to Goldberg’s son Gage trying to make the save. But Lashley put him down using the Hurt Lock.

Since that incident, a rematch between Goldberg and Lashley has been rumored to take place at the WWE Crown Jewel 2021 pay-per-view. Continuing the storyline, Goldberg returned on this week’s Raw to have a face-off. He arrived at the ring and called out the former WWE Champion, right away so that he can break his neck.

While the Hall of Famer was ready to seek redemption, Lashley appeared on the ramp to point out that the legend was out for character assassination, blaming him for what happened to his son. Lashley then said that he will give Goldberg a match at WWE Crown Jewel 2021. But that match will have to be contested under No Holds Barred rules.

Goldberg was happy to oblige the stipulation as he now has the license to kill Lashley at the PPV event. Former Hurt Business members – Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin suddenly attacked Goldberg from behind but he fought them off and delivered a big Spear on Benjamin. Goldberg posed in the corner to end the segment.

WWE Raw Preview (04/10/21): WWE Draft Night Two; Goldberg Returns

The Night Two of WWE Draft will go down on this week’s WWE Raw bringing an end to the 2021 edition. That being said, speculations are high about which of the Superstars will end up on the red and blue brand. To raise the stakes high for the night, Goldberg has been confirmed to make his return on the show that takes place at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.

WWE Draft Night One has witnessed half of the roster members getting drafted to the respectively chosen brands and the other half of the roster is eagerly waiting to know their fate. Given that WWE Raw Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair has shifted to the blue brand, chances are every high that Smackdown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch would arrive on the red side to swap their titles.

In that case, her fiancée Seth Rollins may just end up arriving on Monday Nights. Hall of Famer Edge has already been drafted to Raw and hence the ongoing feud could continue on Monday nights, from now onward.

In another brewing story, Brock Lesnar interrupted Kayla Braxton’s backstage segment with new Smackdown Superstar Jeff Hardy to announce that he is now a free agent, thanks to his “good friend” Heyman. Since he is a free agent, he can do whatever he wants.

Lesnar referring Heyman as his good friend led to Roman Reigns yelling at Heyman in a backstage segment. Reigns then ordered Heyman to visit WWE Raw during the Night Two of Draft edition and see that The Usos get drafted to SmackDown. Reigns then told The Usos to go to RAW with Heyman and make sure that they get drafted to SmackDown. That being said, it’s possible that sans Reigns everybody would be present on Raw to produce a physical segment.

WWE Raw Preview (27/09/21): Injury angle to continue

WWE Raw Preview (04/10/21): WWE Draft Night Two; Goldberg Returns 11

Over the past two weeks of WWE Raw, Shayna Baszler has taken out both Eva Marie, and former tag partner, Nia Jax. Baszler stomped down on their arm while those were placed inside the steel steps at ringside. Now while Jax has been written out of storyline through this attack, Marie has been sporting an arm-brace to show off the kayfabe injury. She has also threatened to file a lawsuit against Baszler for hurting her, indicating that the storyline angle could be stretched on TV.

In a major announcement, Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg has officially been announced for WWE RAW from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. Last week, the legend made a live via satellite appearance to send a stern warning to Bobby Lashley for hurting his son at Summerslam. Now, he is set to confront The All-Mighty, to make their rumored match at WWE Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia, official.

The official preview from WWE’s official website mentioned the following, clearly noting that Lashley vs. Goldberg II is on the making,

“Last week, The WWE Hall of Famer sent a very loud and clear message to Bobby Lashley from his home, but this time, Goldberg will be in the building for the first time since their WWE Championship showdown at SummerSlam. It’s safe to assume Goldberg will be looking for The All Mighty from the moment he arrives, still eager to get retribution after what unfolded between Lashley and Gage Goldberg during the SummerSlam bout. Don’t miss Goldberg’s return to Raw live this Monday at 8/7 C on USA!”

Goldberg Confirmed For Raw Return On WWE Draft 2021 Night Two

WWE Draft Night Two edition on Raw has just got bigger with the announcement of Goldberg coming back on TV. The legendary superstar has been officially announced for Monday’s RAW from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. He’s all set for revenge against Bobby Lashley after what he did to his son Gage Goldberg at Summerslam 2021, earlier this year.

As noted in the preview of WWE’s official website for this upcoming episode of Monday Night Raw, Goldberg will be under the same roof with Lashley, for the first time since their WWE Championship showdown at SummerSlam. These two are likely to have a confrontation to continue their feud for the planned match at WWE Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia. Things should go physical if and when these two meet inside the squared circle.

Goldberg talked about staying true to his promise about protecting Gage since his birth, in his power. He also said he will now fulfill the promise by hurting Lashley real bad for what he did. The veteran went non-PG by saying that if he’s lucky enough, then he will even kill Lashley. He ended the promo by declaring that he’s going to enjoy every single second of hurting Lashley and making him, his victim.

Goldberg Confirmed For Raw Return On WWE Draft 2021 Night Two 20

Previously, WWE has already informed that Goldberg was undergoing a knee-surgery following the attack by Lashley at Summerslam. It appears that he’s now cleared as he’s been allowed to appear on Raw. More updates from PWInsider informed that the bygone promo was the first step in building up the match against Lashley at Crown Jewel.

The match for Crown Jewel should be officially announced by WWE, this week or a week later following Goldberg’s Raw return. It will also be interesting to see whether The Myth will be involved in the draft in some capacity. Chances are high that he will be kept as a free agent just like Brock Lesnar is.

Big E Cashes In Money In The Bank 2021 Contract To Become New WWE Champion

Big E has become the new WWE Champion on this week’s WWE Raw by cashing in his Money in the Bank contract, won earlier this year. Since the beginning of the show, E has been teasing his cash-in on social media. Then he proceeded to appear on various segments of Raw with the same intention before finally staying true to his words at the final moments of the show.

The main event of WWE Raw witnessed Bobby Lashley retaining the WWE Title over RAW Tag Team Champion Randy Orton. He nailed a spear on Orton for the pinfall win. Once the match was over, Orton was put through a table to add insult to injury.

As Lashley was tending to celebrate his winning moments, out came Big E to cash-in his Money in the Bank contract and get his title shot, Lashley pointed out that he was hurt from the bygone match but the referee rang the bell and the match eventually started.

Big E focused on the hurt knee of Lashley who managed to counter with a Spear. E kicked out of it and then hit Lashley back with a Big Ending to pick up the pinfall win and win the WWE Championship. The New Day members, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods hit the ring to join the celebration to send the show off-air.

Big E starts his first WWE title reign on Raw

This is Big E’s first run with the WWE Title while Lashley held the title for 195 days, winning it from The Miz on the March 1 edition of RAW. Lashley was supposed to defend the title against Orton in a rematch at Extreme Rules with some sort of stipulations but after the happenings on Raw, the match lineup will certainly go through big changes.

Sports Illustrated spoke with Big E backstage at the TD Garden in Boston (home of this week’s Raw) and asked him why he chose this week’s show for the MITB cash-in. He talked about the history for him with this area while answering the question,

“Why not tonight? Why not the hometown of one Kofi Kingston? My sister lives here, my mom went to BC [Boston College] and Tufts [University]. Boston is a beautiful area, a beautiful town. Why not here, why not now?”

WWE Raw Preview (13/09/21): Lashley vs. Orton; US Title Open Challenge

Approaching to Extreme Rules PPV event, WWE Raw will present a loaded episode, this week with the headliner being a title match. Bobby Lashley will defend the WWE Title against Randy Orton in a singles contest. The US title will also be on the line when Damian Priest throws an Open Challenge to the roster. Rhea Ripley will face a women’s tag team champion while Charlotte Flair will also be in action on the show set from the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.

WWE Champion Bobby Lashley will defend against one-half of WWE RAW Tag Team Champions, Randy Orton, tonight. As announced by WWE, last week, RAW was supposed to feature Orton and Riddle defending their tag titles against Lashley and MVP while Orton vs. Lashley for the WWE Title was also announced for the Extreme Rules pay-per-view on September 26.

But then a commercial aired during the bygone episode of SmackDown where Orton vs. Lashley was advertised for WWE RAW. Then WWE has officially announced the WWE Title match on the official website as well as on social media profiles. The match has since been removed from the Extreme Rules card while the PPV graphic remains the same around this match.

WWE issued the following storyline explanation for preponing this mega encounter,

“They don’t want to wait for WWE Extreme Rules. Bobby Lashley will defend his WWE Championship against Randy Orton this Monday on Raw! Raw Tag Team Champion Orton will look to add another title to his collection as he tries to capture his 15th World Championship, while The All-Mighty is out for some serious payback after falling victim to an RKO two weeks in a row. Who will emerge as WWE Champion? Find out on Raw, live this Monday at 8/7 C on USA Network!”

It’s very much possible that Orton vs. Lashley will go down on Raw while WWE will schedule the rematch between the two with an added stipulation at Extreme Rules.

Bobby Lashley Teases Two Main Event Matches For WWE Wrestlemania 38

Bobby Lashley has always been very much vocal about his wish to square off in a match against Brock Lesnar. In fact, he was pretty clear while signing the contract with the WWE in 2018 as he’s determined to face the Beast Incarnate. These two have been MMA performers which is the reason why the match needed to happen.

Earlier this year, rumors were pretty much rife about Brock Lesnar coming back to the WWE after a long hiatus on the occasion of Summerslam. He was expected to go after Bobby Lashley and his WWE Championship as could expect to witness a dream matchup. The Beast did return by the end of the PPV but he opted to go after Roman Reigns and his Universal Championship, instead.

The positive thing is that Brock Lesnar is back with the WWE which keeps the hope alive to witness a matchup against Bobby Lashley. Sooner or later, this match should happen given the reigning WWE Champion has become a top superstar on Monday Night Raw, as of late. That being said, he can expect to be a headliner for the next edition of Wrestlemania.

Bobby Lashley wants a big match at Wrestlemania 38

During a recent appearance on the Battleground podcast, WWE Champion Bobby Lashley was asked about a possible match against Brock Lesnar. He wanted that match to happen at the Biggest Event of Them All. Furthermore, he also teased another headliner match for Wrestlemania 38 set from the AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas, next year.

Bobby Lashley Teases Two Main Event Matches For WWE Wrestlemania 38 49

Here’s what The All-Mighty had to say:

“Brock is not going to come back for me just because he wants to have a match with me. Brock is like a Goldberg. Brock comes back for a Title. So, it’s either me or Roman [Reigns]. I think WrestleMania [38] would be really interesting if we saw a Rock vs. Roman match, and a Bobby vs. Brock match as two of the headliners.”

Brock Lesnar vs. Bobby Lashley is a dream match that most fans would want to see and hence it should only be a matter of time when it will happen. Vince McMahon is the ultimate decision-maker on this matchup and we can only hope he’s willing to host the match, sooner than later.
