Jimmy Uso Saved By The Rock’s Future Storyline In WWE?

Jimmy Uso has been trending in the professional wrestling circuit due to his arrest incident. As reported earlier, this past Monday night in Pensacola, Florida, he was arrested again for a DUI. He was stopped by police for running a red light while also speeding his car above the guidelines. The SmackDown star was also in a drunken state.

Jimmy Uso failed sobriety tests that led him to spend a night in jail before getting bailed out, the next morning under a $500 bond. Initial reports claimed that while no immediate action was taken by WWE against him for the arrest, some of the higher-ups were reportedly “extremely disappointed and legitimately pis*ed off” for this kind of repeated action.

Update On WWE’s Feeling About Jimmy Uso’s DUI Arrest

There were some concerns over his presence on TV, after the arrest but on Friday Night SmackDown, Jimmy Uso was presented on the show who made thorough appearances on SmackDown. This clearly pointed out that WWE decided not to take any action against him. Rather, they will continue to feature him on television in the Universal Championship storyline between Roman Reigns and Edge.

Jimmy Uso should be involved in The Rock-Roman Reigns angle

On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, it was reported that WWE creative team must have had some important plans that are too important to adjust. At this point, they just don’t want to get rid of it which could be the reason why there doesn’t seem to be fallout from what happened with Jimmy Uso. Dave Meltzer was told “nothing’s happening” at the moment in regards to a fine or suspension to the former tag champ.

Currently, he is involved in the main event storyline on SmackDown involving the Universal Champion and WWE’s Tribal Chief. Meltzer speculated since Jimmy Uso is involved in this major angle, it’s hard to sideline him. Plus, this storyline could eventually include The Rock at WrestleMania. So WWE doesn’t want to make changes to it.

The current speculation is that they are heading toward a potential match between WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and The Rock at the Grandest Stage of Them All. Next year’s WrestleMania is scheduled on April 3 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas while WrestleMania 39 is set for SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California on April 2, 2023. The dream match is likely to go down in any of these two editions of Mania.

Jimmy Uso’s Arrest Forces WWE Star Naomi To Delete Twitter Account

Jimmy Uso is married to WWE Raw Superstar Naomi and the recent arrest crisis must have affected their life. As seen in the latest, Naomi opted to delete her Twitter account as people started to blame her for her husband’s recent DUI arrest. Once again, this comes as online hatred from the fans where the WWE Superstars become a soft target for doing nothing.

As per the earlier reports, Jimmy Uso was arrested on Monday night in Pensacola, Florida after police spotted him running a red light while speeding. He later failed sobriety tests and had to be taken to jail overnight for misdemeanor DUI, speeding, and running a red light. Afterward, he was bailed out of jail the next morning on a $500 bond.

Since then, Naomi was supposedly being attacked by the netizens for Jimmy Uso’s arrest. As she shut down her Twitter account, WWE Superstars extended their supports. Mia Yim was one of several who took to Twitter to send her support to Naomi.

She tweeted, “Naomi, you are loved.”

Yim also called out and reported a user who advised Naomi to “commit suicide.”

Zelina Vega also supported her saying, “We love you @NaomiWWE sending you all the light, strength, and positive energy.”

Details on Jimmy Uso’s arrest

In an update from the arrest situation, the police report noted that Pensacola police officer William Roper was running radar in the area of Garden and I Streets on Monday night, in a marked patrol car. It was then when he observed Jimmy Uso’s white Dodge Charger was traveling east in the inner lane. He was running in 50 in a 35 mph zone.

As the officer was catching up to Jimmy Uso’s car, he observed the vehicle was running a red light at Garden Street and A Street. The WWE Superstar was thus charged with a DUI citation, and traffic citations for speeding and running a red light. His car was left secured in a legally parked area from where he was pulled over at. He was taken to the Escambia County Jail from where he bonded out the next morning.

This was Jimmy’s second DUI charge in the last two years while he was also booked for similar charges in July 2019, in the same city. A jury later didn’t find him guilty in that case, despite police video showing that he was stumbling during the arrest. Earlier in 2019, Uso allegedly got into a drunken dispute with police in Detroit, Michigan.

Edge & Roman Reigns Announced For Tag Team Match On WWE Smackdown

On this past episode of Friday Night SmackDown, WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Edge came face to face inside the ring. They got into a physical fight before heading into the title match at Money in the Bank 2021 on July 18. During the segment, The Uso Twins moved toward the ring intending to help out their cousin, but a surprise return ruined their thoughts.

They were soon joined by Rey and Dominik Mysterio, who backed up Edge. A steel chair attack by these two superstars helped the Rated R Superstar to capitalize as he punished the Usos with the Crossface submission with a led pipe in their face. It was a strong message sent to Roman Reigns who watched from the ramp before heading back to the locker room.

Edge sent a message to Roman Reigns

In more news from this week’s Talking Smack, WWE Hall of Famer Edge promises to conquer Roman Reigns at Money in the Bank for the Universal Championship. He promises to destroy the empire that “The Tribal Chief” has built up for the past year. To do that, the current challenger for the title has been dipping into some dark waters as of late.

This is the same Edge that some fans perhaps rooted to get back. This is the same man who could go to any level to accomplish whatever he wants to become.

“I need to dip into a different place. And I need to get there when there’s a particular talent in front of me. Throughout the years, I think I’ve been able to find that place, and it can be a dangerous place to find the line between good and evil. It’s paper-thin,” The Ultimate Opportunist stated. “And there are certain talents that cause me to have to cut through that paper and bring out a side of Edge that isn’t really healthy for me and for a lot of other people. Some talents like The Undertaker, talents like John Cena, talents like Roman Reigns.

Update On WWE’s Feeling About Jimmy Uso’s DUI Arrest

Jimmy Uso was arrested for driving in a drunken state on Monday night, in his home state of Pensacola, Florida. He was granted bail from the jail for a $500 bond, a few years later which came as a relief. But in the future, he will have to be presented in the court for further jurisdiction process. Plus, this is the third time that such a DUI arrest happened with him, leading to a tough situation for the WWE officials.

They are extremely strict when it comes to such unprofessional behaviors from the superstars. In the case of Jimmy Uso, it’s been repeatedly happening. Till now, no edict has been handed down on WWE’s part. As Ringside News previously reported, they did not have enough time to deal with the matter, right away. The plan is to handle this situation when this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown occurs for the final time inside ThunderDome.

Fightful Select now reports that they could not get a comment from WWE on the matter. It was later reported that WWE Superstars were “happy” that WWE did not respond with their typical line through their website “Superstars are responsible for their own actions.” Such incidents happened a few times before and the feeling is that WWE will eventually get involved in the matter.

Decision around Jimmy Uso is still pending

The good thing is that Jimmy Uso is “well-liked” in the locker room, but his third DUI arrest raised a matter of concern among the superstars. It was also mentioned how he is in the middle of a main event storyline also featuring Hall of Famer Edge and Universal Champion Roman Reigns. It’s something that “we’ve all been waiting for,” according to one Superstar but then this arrest happened.

“Fightful has spoken to numerous talent, staff, and high level WWE names this week about their feelings on Uso, and there’s unanimous concern across the board for him personally.”

Only time will tell how WWE would want to deal with this whole situation. Superstars will be onboard for this week’s Smackdown in Tampa, Florida for one final time where the officials might decide something about Jimmy Uso’s future.

Rikishi Says Roman Reigns – Usos Angle Is Not A Story But Reality

WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi recently spoke about the storyline between the WWE Universal champion Roman Reigns and his cousins the Usos. He says this is not just a story, but it is what they are in reality.

The storyline between Usos and the WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns started last year. It started as a Feud between Roman Reigns and Jey Uso, later the brothers submitted to Roman as he revealed to be their tribal chief.

Rikishi Says Roman Reigns – Usos Angle Is Not A Story But Reality

Jey Uso kept obeying Roman on whatever the tribal chief did. Recently his twin brother Jimmy Uso but he seemed to be rebellious against Roman and he did not agree on everything with the WWE Universal Champion.

The story line between the trio is stock in this position for quite a long time and not moving very well to be honest. It does not seem like the feud will get a good progress very soon. When it first started it was seeming interesting, right now it is getting boring and monotonous day by day.

Recently the former WWE Intercontinental Champion Rikishi spoke to Steel City Comic Con where he revealed whatever Roman and The Usos are doing right now in WWE are not just another story but it is who they are in real life. He said;

“Well, first of all I’m proud of them [The Usos & Roman Reigns]. We know where they come from, what bloodline that they represent and these boys here and Roman, they’re all trained professionally and to be able to see your family members headline SmackDown, headline WrestleMania, headline Monday Night Raw, it’s a beautiful thing, it’s prideful for us, because they came in during the time after the mighty Yokozuna.

“If you guys haven’t had the chance to see the absolutely tremendous documentary that WWE had put together on the mighty Yokozuna, check it out. But, these guys come in from a family behind us, from a family that’s from Umaga to Yokozuna, The Rock, I mean the list goes on and to be able to see your kids and your nephew out there doing it out there and representing and holding it down, it’s a beautiful thing.

“I think the storylines they’re going through as of now, I think it’s beautiful. It’s not a story, that’s really them. They’ve been fighting like that since they were kids in the backyard and now to be able to do that on-camera and get paid for it, I’d say it’s a beautiful thing. Samoan Dynasty is winning.”

Edge Takes Out Roman Reigns In Emphatic WWE Smackdown Return

WWE Hall of Famer Edge has made his return on SmackDown and his eyes are firmly set on the Universal Champion Roman Reigns. This week’s SmackDown on FOX main event segment featured Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman delivering a State of the Universal Title Address, as a result of Reigns’ latest successful title defense.

The Tribal Chief was supposed to have a celebration over last Friday’s Hell In a Cell match win over SmackDown Tag Team Champion Rey Mysterio. Paul Heyman talked during the main event segment mentioning how Reigns had taken out all of his adversaries who dared to step into the ring against him.

In less than a year, Reigns defeated Edge, “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt, Braun Strowman, Kevin Owens, Daniel Bryan, and one-half of the SmackDown Tag Team Champions, Rey Mysterio. Heyman then noted that they were being forced to do something they had never been done before as there’s no one else left on the roster to challenge Reigns.

Edge is back in the Smackdown main event title picture

That’s when the music hit as Edge came out to a big pop from the virtual crowd. This marked his first appearance since WrestleMania 37 main event, which saw Reigns retain over him and Bryan in a Triple Threat. The Rated R Superstar rushed the ring and brawled with Reigns, sending him out of the ring.

Edge then delivered a flying clothesline from the apron, and then slammed Reigns into the announce table over and over. Reigns met him with a Superman Punch and intended to use a chair but he was met with a Spear, instead. The returnee then placed the chair under Reigns’ head for a Con-Chair-To attempt but Jimmy Uso knocked him off the apron and continued the attack at ringside.

Edge fought back and sent Uso into the steel ring steps before putting Uso through the barrier with a Spear. He re-entered the ring but Heyman and Reigns retreated to the stage. He stood tall to end the show that also left the fans wondering whether he would be the next challenger for the Universal Championship.

It was recently reported that Edge would be returning to SmackDown to work SummerSlam as a babyface, possibly in a match against Seth Rollins. Now he’s back to get into the title picture while Rollins also mentioned on SmackDown that he wants to go after the title after his win over Cesaro at Hell In A Cell. For more updates in the title picture, we have to stay tuned to SmackDown in the following weeks leading up to Money In The Bank 2021 pay-per-view event.

WWE Smackdown Preview (11/06/21): Hell In A Cell Build; Street Profits In Action

WWE Smackdown shook things up in a big way en route to Hell in a Cell 2021 PPV, last week. It appears that the Universal Title match from the blue brand for the PPV has already been determined after what transpired on the main event scene. There will be plenty of fallouts from that when the show airs, this week. Also, The Street Profits will be in action on this weekly WWE episode that takes place at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida.

Roman Reigns is The Tribal Chief of WWE Smackdown who likes to do things on his terms. Anyone getting in his path will suffer some serious consequences. Unfortunately, for The Mysterios, they have suffered a brutal beatdown by him despite they haven’t done anything against Reigns. Rather, it occurred as The Usos did a terrible mistake.

Ronda Rousey Seems To Have Essentially Retired By WWE Officials

The Usos went toe-to-toe with Rey and Dominik Mysterio in the opening match of the night for the Smackdown tag team titles. The challengers were robbed after the referee didn’t notice that Jimmy’s shoulder was up, during Dominik’s pinfall attempt.

This led to a rematch in the final segment when The Usos were on the verge of losing as Dominik went for the finisher Frogsplash. Roman Reigns guessed the match outcome and led to a disqualification end to it as he pounced on both the Mysterios. A hellacious beatdown followed which is reportedly leading to Reigns vs Rey Mysterio at Hell in a Cell. More on this story will unfold on tonight’s Smackdown.

Chad Gable wanted to give some advice to The Street Profits. He wasn’t only rejected but rather Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins tried to steal Otis from him. It resulted in a backstage beatdown by Otis to these two superstars. As a result, a tag team match will go down on Smackdown as The Profits will collide against The Alpha Academy. The winners are likely to move forward to a tag team title shot.

WWE Smackdown Preview (11/06/21): Bianca Belair to fire back?

WWE Smackdown Preview (11/06/21): Hell In A Cell Build; Street Profits In Action 91

In the Smackdown Women’s title picture, the champion Bianca Belair was happy to hand over a title match to Bayley who is bothering her for the past few weeks, over a rematch. While the title match was made official, Bayley made some quirky display via the ThunderDome virtual screens that left the champion in a terrifying state, last week. We hope that she will recover from that shocker and make her own statement, this week.

It’s been two weeks since we have seen Cesaro on Smackdown. During the post Wrestlemania Backlash episode, Seth Rollins delivered an ambush to the former number-one contender for the Universal Title that left him in an injured state. The Swiss Superman is definitely coming back when the time is right, as mentioned by Kayla Braxton, last week. Will it be happening, this week? We’ll find out when Friday’s hottest show airs on FOX.

WWE Smackdown Preview (04/06/21): Usos vs Mysterios; IC Title Match

WWE Smackdown is yet to begin the builds for Hell in a Cell while the storytelling remains compact in comparison to Monday Night Raw. Another packed edition of the show is expected, this week where two major title matches will go down. First, The Mysterios will defend their tag team titles against veteran Usos. Also, Kevin Owens will receive a singles shot to the Intercontinental Title when the show airs from the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida.

Last week, The Usos returned to action as a tag team after a gap of over a year on Smackdown. They defeated The Street Profits in one hell of a match that tore the house down. Jimmy then asked WWE Official Adam Pearce for a shot at the tag team titles after their winning efforts, and he was granted that wish.

Major Match For Roman Reigns Canceled At WWE Hell In A Cell 2021

Rey and Dominik Mysterio successfully retained the Smackdown tag team titles against The Dirty Dawgs – Dolph Ziggler and Rey Mysterio. Now they will have to put their titles on the line against multi-time former world tag champs who are out to prove that they are the best tag teams that WWE has ever seen. That being said, Mysterios’ title run is in sheer jeopardy by all means.

Asuka Wants To Wrestle WWE Legends Triple H And Ric Flair

WWE Smackdown Preview (04/06/21): Usos vs Mysterios; IC Title Match 105

Jey Uso, meanwhile, is being played against his brother by his cousin and reigning Universal Champion Roman Reigns. The latter doesn’t like the idea that Jimmy is willing to go after the tag team titles with Jey. Although Roman isn’t happy with Jey participating in the coming title match, he will be competing in it, anyway. It seems the Tribal Chief will closely be watching the tag team title bout on Smackdown.

WWE Smackdown Preview (04/06/21): Kevin Owens vs Apollo Crews

WWE Smackdown Preview (04/06/21): Usos vs Mysterios; IC Title Match 106

Kevin Owens competed against Apollo Crews, last week who was on the verge of a non-title win after hitting a Stunner. Commander Azeez was observing the match from ringside who ran down and nailed Owens with a cheap shot on the throat. Thus the match was disqualified while Owens also had troubles with his throat, once the match was over.

As a result of what went down during the non-title match, Adam Pearce announced that Kevin Owens will be getting his crack at the Intercontinental championship against Apollo Crews in a singles contest on this week’s Smackdown. After his actions, Commander Azeez will be banned from ringside. This does give Owens a golden opportunity to snatch the IC Title from Crews unless Sami Zayn decides to interfere continuing his issues with Owens.

Smackdown Women’s Champion Bianca Belair continues her feud with Bayley despite pinfall retention over the challenger at Wrestlemania Backlash. The storyline suggests that Belair used her ponytail to steal a win from Bayley who is now asking for a rematch over the title. A fearless Belair has already been proven to be a fighting champion and it’s only a matter of time that the rematch will be made official, perhaps for Hell in a Cell PPV.

Major Match For Roman Reigns Canceled At WWE Hell In A Cell 2021

Roman Reigns has been the most dominant force in the WWE since after as the Universal Championship at last year’s Payback PPV. He defeated Braun Strowman and The Fiend Bray Wyatt in a Triple Threat to gain the title and move on to a completely different zone where he can claim himself to be untouchable. Since then he has been gone through successful title defenses against the likes of Braun Strowman, Jey Uso, Kevin Owens, Edge, Daniel Bryan, and Cesaro to remain the champion.

Major Match For Roman Reigns Canceled At WWE Hell In A Cell 2021 120

After his last successful title defense against Cesaro at Wrestlemania Backlash, the question remains who’d be the next opponent for Roman Reigns at Hell in a Cell. His cousin Jimmy Uso made his return to Friday Night Smackdown, last month and unlike his brother Jey Uso, he refused to bow down to him. After weeks of altercations between the two, the assumption was that WWE was perhaps building a feud between the two.

Update On Finn Balor Possibly Moving To Main Roster From NXT

Roman Reigns vs Jey Uso not happening?

As a result, there were rumors that his next challenger for the Universal Championship at WWE Hell In A Cell 2021 PPV would be Jimmy Uso, similar to how Jey Uso challenged him at last year’s Hell In A Cell event. But now the rumor killer has arrived via a report by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. It mentioned that Roman Reigns vs. Jimmy Uso is currently not planned for the WWE Hell In A Cell pay-per-view.

“The Roman Reigns main issue seems to be with Jimmy Uso but we are told that match is not scheduled for the PPV.”

Natalya Was Planned To Involve In Huge Title Feud On WWE Smackdown

Major Match For Roman Reigns Canceled At WWE Hell In A Cell 2021 121

This leaves us wondering who should be challenging the champion, next. Cesaro could have been an option as he was willing to receive a rematch but Seth Rollins renewed his feud against the Swiss Superman almost confirming that a match between the two will go down at Hell in a Cell 2021.

So that leaves the number-one contender’s spot for the Universal Championship, vacant, for the time being. In the meantime, Jimmy and Jey will be gunning for the Smackdown tag team titles, this week when they compete against the Mysterios with the belts hanging in the balance. Roman Reigns has issues with this match and he will be watching, closely which might leave some fallout.
