Drew McIntyre Reveals Which Opponent He Wants To Face Again

Former two times WWE World Heavyweight Champion Drew McIntyre who is also a former two times WWE Tag Team Champion recently revealed which opponent he would like to face once again. Since returning to WWE, McIntyre has faced a number of big names. Among them there is a certain wrestler he would like to face once again.

Since winning the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 36 Drew McIntyre defended his Championship against a lot of big names such as the life of Seth Rollins, Bobby Lashley, Randy Orton, AJ Styles and Goldberg.

Drew McIntyre Reveals Which Opponent He Wants To Face Again

These are some the biggest names in the sports entertainment right now. Written in the Championship against these names is not a matter of joke, a lot of fans have started to believe that he is not a main event star anymore, but that is far from the truth.

A match for the former two times WWE champion that is very imminent right now is a match against the current WWE Universal champion Roman Reigns.  Reigns might have been involved in a Feud with the former eight times the WWE champion Brock Lesnar, but that would not continue for long as there is not enough big names in SmackDown either.

Drew is currently one of the biggest names of Smackdown who might have been next to feud with the Mighty Roman Reigns. We have seen matches between the duo in the past but in most cases Roman Reigns came out victorious.

Even though Drew made his mind clear that he would like to face the man he defeated at WrestleMania 36 to become the WWE championship for the first time in his career.

He said that he would like to face the formal 8 time WWE world champion Brock Lesnar once again because he believed that Brock Lesnar is one of the biggest opponents has ever faced. We are also looking forward to see this match once again, there might have been no confirmation yet but a match between the duo is not impossible at all.

Drew McIntyre who is also a former two times WWE Tag Team Champion recently spoke to  The Bump of WWE where he revealed which opponent he would like to face once again. He said;

“I’m always excited to get into the ring with the absolute best. There’s not many that are as good or as physical as Brock Lesnar. At WrestleMania, I did defeat him in five minutes.

“But I would like the opportunity to wrestle Brock again and in front of a live audience. Any time I can get in the ring with the absolute best is a great day, and Brock is one of the absolute best.”

Kurt Angle Reveals Why Vince McMahon Preferred Him Heel

WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle who is also a six times World champion in WWE and a former six times TNA Heavyweight champion of the World recently explained why the Chairman of WWE Vince McMahon preferred him as a heel character.

For the most time of his career, Kurt Angle played heel persona and that is something that made him famous. A lot of fans believe that Angle is one of the best Heels not only in the history of WWE but in the history of professional wrestling. Even during his TNA days, he mostly played a heel persona, which was almost identical to his WWE gimmick.

Kurt Angle Reveals Why Vince McMahon Preferred Him Heel

When Angle made his debut in 1999, he was a babyface, but soon he turned heel. WWE followed the old school technique of pushing some new individual, just turning him heel. He had an undefeated streak for quite a time before it was finally broken by the debuting Tazz at Royal Rumble 2000. But WWE had huge plans for him, on the same year he won his first WWE Championship.

He kept on playing his heel persona, at Wrestlemania XIX hi main invented the grandest stage of them all for the first time in his career, and that was the only time as well. But he did give some amazing matches at Wrestlemania, such as is epic clash with Shawn Michaels from WrestleMania 21. In 2006 he parted ways from WWE and joint the Rival promotion of WWE back in the time, TNA Wrestling, where he was also famous as a heel.

Kurt Angle who is also a six times World champion in WWE and a former six times TNA Heavyweight champion of the World recently spoke on a recent episode of The Kurt Angle Show where he explained why the Chairman of WWE Vince McMahon preferred him as a heel character. He said;

“Vince didn’t like me as a babyface.  Every time I ever turned babyface, it was only for a couple months.  I think what it comes down to is I was one of the best wrestlers on the roster.  I was one of the best wrestlers in the world.  Vince just didn’t like me as a babyface because I was more effective as a heel.  I started out as a heel.

Kurt Angle

“I would preach the three ‘I’s, but I wouldn’t actually back it up.  I would do the opposite.  I would do the lie, cheat, and steal like Eddie Guerrero, but I would say I had intensity, integrity, and intelligence.  Vince liked that about me.  I think I was a better wrestler as a heel because I could control the tempo of the match and I could start making other wrestlers.

“The wrestlers that made me like Undertaker, Austin, Stone Cold, Triple H, I became one of those ring leaders.  It’s easier to work as a heel when you’re a ring leader than it is as a babyface.  My job was to make other wrestlers and make them bigger than they were already.  I did the best job I could, and that entails being the heel.”

Booker T Gives His Opinion On If Gimmicks Are Backdated

Two times WWE Hall of Famer Booker T who is the former five times WCW World Heavyweight champion and a former WWE World Heavyweight Champion recently gave opinion if gimmicks are a thing of the past.

Gimmick and professional wrestling had a big connection between each other. Give me a very important thing of professional wrestling in the past. But nowadays giving are not much seen in any professional wrestling promotion. Wrestlers are mostly seen in straight forward characters, mostly portraying their real life role.

Booker T Gives His Opinion On If Gimmicks Are Backdated

Since the last decade we do not see enough gimmicks in professional wrestling. There was a time when gimmicks were very important things in professional wrestling. Wrestlers like The Undertaker and Kane became mostly famous because of their amazing gimmicks. But these type of gimmicks are very difficult to see nowadays. Even the independent promotions do not propose such ideas. Even though there are a few like “The Demon” Finn Balor.

But it is very difficult these days where fans could experience fiction like gimmicks. Like the gimmick of Papa Shango, it might have been a failure back then, such gimmicks are nearly impossible to see now a days. Wrestlers these days like to perform more realistic characters and the professional wrestling promotion do not want them to play fiction gimmicks either.

Booker T who is the former five times WCW World Heavyweight champion recently during a episode of the Hall of Fame Podcast gave opinion if gimmicks are a thing of the past. He said;

“I was talking about something last week, and I said gimmicks are pretty much the thing of the past. But I always say also, there’s a place for something like that on the show, but there can only be one. Everybody cannot be a gimmick as far as the overall show.

Booker T

“It’s not gonna work if every wrestler….it would look like cartoon or circus. But if you’ve got that one guy like The Undertaker – you just can’t have the whole roster looking like a gimmick. The same thing with the performance.

“You just can’t play haha all the time and get in the ring and expect the fans to take you serious if you don’t switch gears. You can do haha, but when you get in the ring, haha goes out the window. I say that because it’s professional wrestling. The most athletic guy may not be the most over guy because this is entertainment.”

In 2008 he got his biggest call as he was signed by WWE in the mentioned year. He was renamed as Kaval in WWE. He participated in the NXT competition, it was the time when NXT was a talent hunt reality competition. He won the season two of the competition.

It seemed like he was destined to be famous in WWE. His high flying styles were really attractive and fans were loving him. But he could not age well as WWE released him in 2010. “Low Ki, especially as we sit here today, and it just wasn’t just in TNA, and in different promotions, he was always his worst enemy. His athletic ability and his believability in the ring, he knew how to work incredibly well so he wouldn’t hurt you.

Jeff Jarrett

“There would always be something when you get him right to the point that you’re going to push him to the next level, I don’t want to say self-destruct, but I read that about him and I’m like, yea. A lot of times he was his own worst enemy climbing that ladder.

“For whatever reason, he’s a guy that I think will go down in history and it’s like, ‘What if?’, because his skill set was there and he could talk as well. His stoic delivery was a unique presentation that I thought had a lot of money in it, but he never did quite get over that hump.”

She was an extremely talented wrestler. It was a treat to see her on the roster of WWE. When she made her main roster debut WWE formed is stable with her featuring two more wrestlers, Sarah Logan and Liv Morgan naming the stable Riott Squad. It seemed like when a stable is getting named after her, definitely WWE was planning a big push for her.

But the much awaited push for Ruby never arrived. Instead she kept on jobbing throughout her WWE career. She lost almost all of her main roster matches since last couple of years. She did get some title opportunities every now and then but all of them were losing efforts.

Ruby Riott who is currently working in the All Elite Wrestling under her new ring name Ruby Soho recently spoke to Inside The Ropes where he talked about her shocking debut at AEW All Out pay per view event. She said;

“Honestly, it was probably the moment, I’ve always had a good feeling, a lot of my friends have worked in AEW and they’ve always said wonderful things about it. To be honest I’m just waiting for something to [go wrong], because it’s just too good to be true at this point. This place, it’s so rad, and it’s just so much fun. I love coming to work and everything like that. But they have always had such good things to say about it, I’ve always been a fan of the product.

“But the moment where it was like, for sure, this is meant to be, was at All Out. When I debuted and came out to the amazing reception in Chicago, there was not a doubt after that. It was like this is where I am meant to be, this is home for sure.”

Ruby Soho

“I was so nervous, so nervous. I had no idea how the crowd was going to respond. To me, I knew that it was a really big night, and I was worried. I hoped that they were going to welcome me with open arms, and when they started to chant Ruby Soho prior to me even coming out, it was real to me in that moment. I started crying, I was like OK I’ve got to pull this together, I’ve got to go and wrestle. But it was everything that I wanted it to be and more, it was more than what I expected.

“I was nervous before that, but that crowd that night was such a special moment. That was the best moment in my career to date, because it was a culmination of 11 years of work that I had done, and a lot of nervousness coming into it. I was so grateful to the fans there for their warm welcome, it was awesome.”

Rey Mysterio Reveals What He Told Dominik During WWE Draft

Former three times WWE World Champion Rey Mysterio who is also a former two times WWE United States Champion recently revealed what he told his son Dominik Mysterio on the night of WWE draft. The duo was shining really well on Smackdown and they got drafted to Monday Night RAW recently this year.

Dominic Mysterio first appeared in WWE in 2005 at the age of eight. He was featured as a part of the Rey Mysterio vs Eddie Guerrero storyline during that time. He remained on the ring side for quite a number of times during their matches and there was even a Custody of Dominic match at SummerSlam 2005 between Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero. It was a Ladder match and the storyline was quite controversial.

Dominik was not seen very much after that as he started to train for professional wrestling. He was trained by his father and professional wrestling Legend Jay Lethal. In 2019 made his professional wrestling debut in WWE at the age of 22 only and so far he is doing quite good. It looks like the young boy has a bright future in WWE.

He also won the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship along with his father after they defeated Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler for the Tag Team Championship. They became the first ever father and son Tag Team champion in WWE history. However from his past storyline with Sami Zayn it looks like he would be breaking his team with his father soon. But that did not happen as they got drafted to RAW and Sami remained on Smackdown.

But I always like change and I like to adapt, especially now with my son kicking off his career. It’s going to be exciting. There’s a lot of talent on Raw right now and we’re looking forward to working with many of those.”

“Once we got drafted that night, I remember sitting down with my son and saying, ‘OK, we need to make the best out of this opportunity. It’s almost like a fresh, new start for us.

“Obviously, we became the first father-and-son tag team champions and that’s in our rearview mirror right now, but we’re hoping to get an opportunity, or at least earn an opportunity first, to eventually meet the champions.”

Bianca Belair Reflects On Being Ranked #1 On PWI Women’s Top 150

The former WWE SmackDown Women’s champion Bianca Belair who won the Royal Rumble match of 2021 recently talked about being ranked #1 on PWI Women’s Top 150 and she shared her happiness about it. Indeed she was one of the best female stars in the world of professional wrestling this year. She has been selected as the top female star of PWI Women’s 150.

Bianca has definitely been one of the most successful female wrestlers of this year, if not the most successful. She has won the Royal Rumble match of this year, main evented WrestleMania and also won the WWE Smackdown Women’s Championship.

As mentioned above, Bianca Belair won the Royal Rumble match 2021 and earned a title shot at Wrestlemania. He decided to choose the WWE SmackDown Women’s champion Sasha Banks. And at the grandest stage of them all she defeated Sasha to win her first Women’s Championship in WWE.

Bianca kept retaining her Championship against strong challenges. Her feud over Bayley made it quite clear that WWE is trying to build her as an unstoppable force. She was scheduled to face Sasha Banks at SummerSlam but Sasha was not medically cleared to compete on that night, so she was withdrawn from her position.

Instead she was replaced by the returning Becky Lynch. Fans were really happy to see The Man back in action. But their happiness could not last long as everyone was expecting a great match from the duo, instead they presented only a 26 second long match where Becky defeated Bianca quite easily. The booking decision was criticized by everyone. It was feared that Bianca’s push was gone but thankfully it remained intact.

Bianca Belair who won the Royal Rumble match of 2021 recently spoke to Mike Jones of DC101 where she talked about being ranked #1 on PWI Women’s Top 150 and she shared her happiness about it. She said;

“It’s a huge honor. It’s just a lot of validation and I love the validation and recognition that I’m getting but all I can say is that I’m number one this year, but the grind will never stop, it will continue.

“It’s an amazing journey since 2016 to now, it’s crazy to think it’s only been five years, but to be considered the number one wrestler in the world right now, it’s just an amazing representation and all that I can say is that I’m blessed and going to continue to grind.”

WWE RAW 25.10.2021 Results & Ratings

This week’s RAW started as the WWE Champion Big E came out to the arena. He welcomed the fans to the show and talked about Crown Jewel. He congratulated Xavier Woods for winning King of the Ring. He also praised Drew McIntyre for his efforts.

Seth Rollins made interference. He challenged E for the WWE championship. Rey Mysterio, Finn Balor and Kevin Owens also came out to demand the same. They also reminded their achievements in WWE so far.

WWE RAW 25.10.2021 Results & Ratings

The confrontation finally turned into a fight as Rollins tried to attack Owens. But as everyone got involved in the fight Rollins escaped the fight. Sonya Deville came out and announced a ladder match among the four competitors. The winner of the match would become the no. one contender for the WWE Championship.

Match 1 – No 1 contender’s match for the WWE RAW Tag Team Championship – Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler defeated The Street Profits and The Alpha Academy

The match was quite fun. It was booked for over seven minutes and it was pretty competitive. Omos had a part in this match who hit Angelo Dawkins from outside and Robert Roode cashed the opportunity by pinning him.

Next up was the royal coronation of Queen Zelina Vega. The ring was decorated like a royal lobby. Queen Zelina came out and talked about her greatness. The promo she cut was quite good.

Match 2 – Queen Zelina defeated Doudrop

The match was very short. It was not a clean win though. She hit Doudrop with her spectre while the referee was distracted. This feud should stop. There is no need to bury Doudrop at this moment.

RAW

New WWE RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch came out. She cut a short promo as she was inturrupted by Bianca Belair. The arguement turned physical where Bianca was shown stronger. Becky somehow left the beating. This was a feud from Smackdown, why do we have to see it on RAW again? The answer is Charlotte Flair. They could not build new faces in RAW because they were only focused on Charlotte and did not care about anyone else.

Match 3 – Damian Priest defeated T Bar by DQ

T Bar was presented as quite a strong force in this match, surprisingly. And another surprise, Priest won the match by DQ as T Bar hit Priest with Rolling Chair. After the match Priest beat down T Bar brutally.

Match 4 – Carmella defeated Liv Morgan

Once again we have to see same feuds from Smackdown on RAW. WWE’s obsession which Charlotte Flair is killing the entire women’s division completely. Carmella faced Liv Morgan for the 99999th time today and she beat her with a Face First.

Match 5 – Keith “Barecat” Lee defeated Cedric Alexander

RAW
RAW. Image Credits: Twitter

It was an easy victory for Keith Lee but it was not a squash. We hope this push for Keith Lee works. About the match it was only booked to promote Lee, there was nothing special about it.

Match 6 – Austin Theory defeated Dominik Mysterio

Another short match with nothing much important. It might be the beginning of a new feud though. Austin Theory pinned Dominik with an ATL.

Match 7 – WWE RAW Tag Team Champions RK-Bro defeated The Dirty Dogs

It was one of the better matches of the night. It was booked for nearly ten minutes and it was quite fun to watch. Riddle pinned Dolph Ziggler with a Crucifux Roll Up to earn victory for his side.

Match 8 – Seth Rollins defeated Finn Balor, Kevin Owens and Rey Mysterio in a ladder match to become the No. 1 contender for the WWE Championship

RAW
RAW. Image Credits: Twitter

Indeed it was the best match of the night. It was a pay per view standard match where all athletes were on top of their games. Kevin Owens was shown as the strongest force of the four. But Rollins was quite dominant at the end who single handedly knocked out Owens and Balor at the end and won the contract. Seth Rollins stood tall as this week’s RAW went off air.

Overall it was an average week of RAW. Except the main event match, there was nothing special. The women’s division is in a terrible condition. Women that just got drafted to RAW are continuing their feuds from SmackDown. No wrestler from RAW had anything to offer. This happened because they were only focused on pushing Charlotte Flair. We are feeling pity for The Smackdown women’s division, same thing is going to happen to them as well since Charlotte in SmackDown now. We give it 2.5 stars out of 5.

Mustafa Ali Unhappy With His Current State?

WWE star Mustafa Ali who has been a former Midwestern State Pro Wrestling Heritage champion recently talked about his current state in WWE and he said that he is the most underutilized wrestler in the promotion right now. Ali is working in WWE for over five years and he still did not win any Championship in the promotion yet.

He arrived in WWE back in 2016 as a part of the WWE Cruiserweight Classic. What most of the fans do not know that he was not originally set to compete in the Cruiserweight Classic. Brazilian wrestler Zumbi was the actual name in his position, but he could not participate because of some issues with his visa. Therefore he was replaced by Ali. He could not survive in the tournament for long but he made a mark for himself.

Mustafa Ali Unhappy With His Current State?

The Pakistani descent professional wrestler started work in WWE permanently and he is working in WWE for over 5 years now, still the 35 year old professional wrestler could not achieve anything special yet. There was a time when it looked like WWE is planning something big for him when the promotion booked the stable Retribution. Ali was the leader of the stable.

He got a decent upper mid card push while being the leader of Retribution. But we all know what is WWE famous for, breaking stables for apparently no reason. After Retribution was over, Ali became a jobber. He has teamed up with Mansoor but he is losing almost every match these days. This is quite unfortunate that such a talented wrestler is being fitted in this way. Even though he is not the only underutilized wrestler in WWE right now.

Mustafa Ali who has been a former Midwestern State Pro Wrestling Heritage champion recently spoke to WWE’s The Bump where he talked about his current state in WWE and he said that he is the most underutilized wrestler in the promotion right now. He said;

“I think I’m the most unheard voice in the history of WWE,” Ali said. “[Stares straight into the hard camera] With zero hesitation in my voice, with no flinch whatsoever, I will say pound for pound, I am the most underutilized talent in this company’s history.

“Does that put it into perspective for you? Here’s the thing, I speak many languages, and one of them is the truth, and I know that’s a foreign language, especially around the WWE Universe. But the truth is, I’ve been great this entire time. All it is is an opportunity that I’m asking for. And when I do have those opportunities, some outside intervention always just seems to show up conveniently.

Mustafa Ali

“You mentioned one person who did that hashtag, #JusticeForAli. Listen, I’m that same guy who came back from a serious, almost career-ending injury, and for weeks, all I heard was, ‘Kofi, Kofi,’ night in and night out.

“I moved on, but I’m rehashing here. Same thing at Money In The Bank. The next night, they were dancing with Brock [Lesnar]. Where was Justice for Ali then? I’m not looking for anyone’s support. I don’t need anyone’s support. The only thing I need is an opportunity. I’ll handle the rest.”

Professional wrestling Legend Rey Mysterio who is a former three times WWE World Champion recently talked about his World Championship run in WWE. Mysterio had a total number of three World Championship runs in WWE, here he talked about his first title win.

Rey Mysterio was never seen as a potential main event star or a world champion candidate in WWE when he joined WWE back in 2002. He was mostly seen as a high flying cruiserweight. He received the same treatment he received from WCW where he spent over five years of his early career. After WCW was purchased by WWE in 2001, he was released at first and he went to the independent circuit and spent one year before WWE signed him in 2002.

He went to Friday night Smackdown as a draft pick of the first ever brand split in WWE and he has been one of the biggest names of Smackdown. At first you mostly feuded for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship back in the time. He presented some amazing matches on the cruiserweight division of WWE and his popularity was touching the Sky. WWE never planned a world title run for him neither a main event title run.

But looking at his immense popularity WWE had to change their mind set. He was first given the chance to win some non title main event level feuds then came the big break. He entered the Royal Rumble match 2006 as the entry number 2 and one the whole thing.

“I never took the time to work on what I needed to work on in order to back that title up and that was working on my promos or character development. In lucha, you were never taught that part of this industry. I think that’s where I dropped the ball, tremendously, on not being able to backup having the title and being able to cut promos.

“I’ve never really been a promo guy. I do most of my talking inside the ring and that’s what fans know me for. If I had done my end of the job, the outcome would have been different.”
