Misbah-ul-Haq, the ever successful captain of Pakistan Team, has applied for the position of head coach for Pakistan team. Mickey Arthur was the coach of Pakistan till the World Cup. Since then, the place for a head coach is vacant. "It has been interesting to see my name being mentioned as a future head coach of the Pakistan cricket team, but the fact is that I only made the decision today," Misbah said in a statement after filing his application. Under his captaincy, Pakistan cricket had gained heights. Pakistan team first time became No.1 Test cricket team since 1988. He was the most successful Test captain of Pakistan. On April 2017, he retired from all cricket formats. The eligibility to apply for coach position was 3-year experience in coaching. But it has been only three years to Misbah retirement. Undoubtedly, he is favourite to win this position. Misbah played 162 ODIs for the team and scored 42 half-centuries. He was the captain in 56 Test matches and won 26 among those and 11 were drawn.
