Quite clearly Punk will be having a run as a babyface. There is no sign of Punk going for the AEW World title right now. Bryan Danielson has hit the picture of the world against Kenny Omega. We might see an AEW World Championship match soon between Kenny Omega and Bryan Danielson.

Punk might remain on the AEW Tag Team title picture and his Tag Team partner can be the former 6 time WCW World Heavyweight Champion Sting. This unlikely Tag Team could be a history maker Tag Team is actually booked. Sting is very much capable of full time action even at the age of 62. The unlikely duo holding the Tag Team Championship would be amazing to see.

“Without ever having a bucket list, it’d be hard for me to write things down because I’ve done so many cool things, but yeah, that’s one of them, that’s a bucket list thing. It’s an item that I never thought I would, you know, because your brain doesn’t go there.

“We were never in the same company at the same time with two different generations of wrestlers and you just, you never thought it was possible, and now it is.

“That’s kind of how I feel about the entire groundswell of AEW as a whole, you know, like you got me, Darby and Sting in a ring and it’s legitimately three different generations, you know?”

Eddie Kingston On CM Punk Joining AEW

Former Chikara Grand Champion Eddie Kingston who was vastly considered as an Indie darling by the professional wrestling fans recently talked about CM Punk joining the All Elite Wrestling promotion and he also talked about the impact it made on the world of professional wrestling.

CM Punk joining the AEW made a huge impact in the world of professional wrestling. It has clearly made a statement that WWE is not unbeatable. There has always been a Monopoly of WWE in the world of professional wrestling.  They have always managed to surpass and beat their opponents.

But it is quite clear that AEW is not messing around. They have already managed to sign some of the biggest names in the history of professional wrestling including the likes of CM Punk, Chris Jericho, Jon Moxley, Adam Cole and Bryan Danielson and many more. More big names are still linked with the promotion.

The arrival of Punk is the biggest shock in the world of professional wrestling. WWE had been trying to get him in their show from quite a long time. It was more than seven years since The Best in the World went out of the world of professional wrestling. AEW is almost the more superior show after getting him.

Eddie Kingston who was vastly considered as an Indie darling by the professional wrestling fans recently spoke to Inside The Ropes where he talked about CM Punk joining the All Elite Wrestling promotion. He said;

“I found out because you hear whispers. Certain people who have, let’s say, certain stroke or control move also into the whispers, and I went ‘oh it’s happening’ without them telling me it’s happening, oh it’s happening. I got super excited. I’d known Punk, ooh man, I first met Punk when I was 21 when he came to Chikara to do a special seminar, so I’d known him since then.

“He’s one of the rare guys that has a name, that the name brings people in. Nowadays it’s AEW, that name, or WWE, that name, NWA that name. But when you put CM Punk, you’re coming for CM Punk. He’s become like an old-school name. I love it that he’s here. When I look in his eyes I see old Punk.

“I see someone who is hungry again, maybe not hungry again but hungrier, and happier and mentally I can just see in his eyes he is in a better place than he was when I saw him maybe while he was with WWE at the end. I ran into him and he just didn’t seem like himself. Now he seems better than himself, you know what I mean?”

AJ Lee has a problem with her neck

The former Straight Edge Leader offered a negative response while mentioning that the neck injury would never allow AJ Lee to come back to professional wrestling,

“I just want to say, no,” Punk said. “Just because [of] her neck. The reason she stopped wrestling is because of her neck. She’s got a bad neck, you know. I wouldn’t want her to jeopardize [her] health and neither would she, so we’ll put an end to that rumor right now.”

He first got some non wrestling rules before finally making his main roster in ring debut. Slowly he went on to become one of the most famous wrestlers in WWE. He was one of the most over wrestler among the fans. But there was a time when he believed that WWE is not treating him properly and in early 2014 he decided to leave the world of professional wrestling.

But he made his Grand return after 7 long years to professional wrestling. This time he did not come back to WWE, but today arrival promotion AEW. CM Punk who is a former six times WWE world champion recently spoke to WFAN’s Moose & Maggie Show where he said WWE is definitely a competition for the AEW. He said;

“Yeah I think it be straight up telling a big old like if you said that you didn’t want to beat them in whatever metrics they deem successful,” Punk said. “If you ask them, they’ll say AEW is not their competition, which is great because I think everyone sees through that.

“If you ask us, I’ll say yeah, absolutely they’re our competition. However, we’re focused on what we’re doing. We’re focused on the people in the building that have paid to see AEW. And we’re not so much worried on anything else.

“I know that TNT executives love ratings. That’s what they’re business is driven by. I’m focused on the fans, and I think that’s how you grow the business. I think that’s how we’ll eventually grow AEW.

“If you’re talking about head to head competition with WWE, they have about a 30 year head start. AEW has been around for 2 years. I like what we’ve been doing and it’s fun again for me. So I’m not trying to bankrupt anybody, put anybody out of business. But it’s 100% competition. If you say it’s not, you’re fooling yourself, or you’re pretending somebody doesn’t exist or whatever. And I think you’re shooting yourself in the foot.”
