“At this point, there are no dream matches, it’s all reality matches. If you talk about Ciampa, Ciampa is right here, he is ready. If you talk about Pete Dunne, Pete Dunne is ready. WALTER, he’s ready.

“Roderick Strong, he’s ready. Let’s stop dream match talk. Dream match is something you hope will happen one day, but all these are gonna go down, it’s inevitable with the level of competition on NXT. The guys want to prove themselves.

“When I walk through the locker room, it’s a bunch of dudes, kind of sitting there, rubbing their hands and licking their chops way too much for my liking. They understand, they understand the opportunity that’s in front of them and they’re ready to take advantage of it.”

Former two times WWE United States Champion Samoa Joe who is the current and three times NXT Champion recently talked about her separated two runs on the NXT and he compared both of his NXT runs.

Joe joined WWE in 2015 and he started walking in the NXT. From the very first day of debuting in the NXT he was portrayed as a very strong individual. He won the NXT Championship 2 times. On the first occasion he defeated Finn Balor, and on the second he took the title away from Shinsuke Nakamura.

He joined the main roster after two years run in the NXT and he had been portrayed as a main event star at first but soon he was dropped to a mid card role. He won the WWE United States Championship two times in total in the main roster. After having a four years of successful run in the main roster, WWE decided to release him.

But it was reported that people age was really unhappy with the release of Joe. WWE decided to bring him back again. This time he came back to the NXT and soon after coming to the promotion he challenged Karrion Kross for the NXT Champion. At the Takeover 36 he defeated Kross to win his third NXT Championship.

“Even when I came back to NXT the first time, there was a lot of familiar faces around me. Now, I’m genuinely dealing with a lot of people that I’ve never had a lot of experience with.

Samoa Joe Vacates WWE NXT Championship Due To Injury

The reigning WWE NXT Champion has been forced to relinquish his title due to an unfortunate injury occurrence. While it wasn’t mentioned what type of injury is bothering Joe, it was fatal enough to drop her belt and make way for the younger superstars to pick it up and have a run with it as a new era awaits from this coming Tuesday.

Samoa Joe released a video on Twitter this evening, announcing he would be relinquishing WWE NXT title after the company’s medical team informed him that due to “certain injuries” he will have to step away from the ring for a brief amount of time.

Samoa Joe Vacates WWE NXT Championship Due To Injury 16

The full statement from the former champion goes as follows,

“Recently WWE medical has informed me that due to certain injuries, they’d like to have me step away from the ring for a brief, but indeterminate amount of time. I realize this week we are on the cusp of a new NXT, we are on the brink of a new era in our history, and that era deserves a fighting champion. That’s why it makes a difficult decision very easy to make. Effective immediately, I relinquish the NXT championship. Best of luck to those who will vie for it. My sincerest condolences to whoever wins, because I will be along shortly to recollect what is mine.”

Triple H No More Untouchable At Backstage Of WWE NXT

New WWE NXT Champion to be crowned

Samoa Joe is nothing new when it comes to picking up sudden injuries or concussions. He previously suffered a lot while being on the main roster. This was also a supposed reason why he couldn’t be elevated into the main event level on a permanent basis. We assume the trend continues on WWE NXT as he had to vacate his title.

Samoa Joe had won the title at WWE NXT TakeOver 36 during the Summerslam weekend after he defeated Karrion Kross. He started a historic third run with the title which now has nothing important to mention. There’s no update either on how WWE plans to crown a new champion.

WWE NXT: Fatal-4-Way; Title Match And More Set For This Week

As of this writing, a number-one contender’s title match is scheduled for this coming episode of NXT with the lineup being Pete Dunne vs. Tommaso Ciampa vs. LA Knight vs. Kyle O’Reilly. We assume this match could be converted into a title match, instead to replace Joe as the new WWE NXT Champion. More updates on the situation should be there on this upcoming episode.

Joe earned most of his fame from TNA Wrestling. In his decade long TNA career he achieved a lot of things before coming to WWE. NXT made him a star, something that he is in reality. But the main roster could not do justice to him. Unlike many other wrestlers who are a star back in NXT, but became Just another wrestler in the main roster.

Samoa Joe who is a former two times WWE United States Champion recently spoke with the Daily Star where he talked about his experience on working with the former eight times WWE Champion Brock Lesnar. He said;

“I think it really comes down to the simple fact that, when Brock shows up for fight night, he wants to be in a scrap. He wants to go out there and he wants someone who is going to smash someone in the face, and he wants to smash somebody back!

Samoa Joe

“Brock knew he had that with me – he understood, and I understood I had to have that with Brock. It’s an attitude. He wants people to go in there and go after him. It is all of those things.

“I think that was the simplistic but major reason that we click the way we do; we step in the ring and we’re stepping in there for chaos and destruction to happen, and nothing less than that. I guess it’s some weird, unspoken gentlemen’s agreement we have!”
