WWE Extreme Rules 2021: Champions Are Favorite To Retain

WWE will present Extreme Rules 2021, this weekend with a solid card where multiple championships will be on the line. The specialty about this night is that most of the matchups take place under gimmicks. To date, WWE is yet to confirm any gimmick matches but announcements are likely to happen during the go-home episodes of Raw and Smackdown, this week.

The early betting odds are now out for Extreme Rules 2021 and it appears that all the champions are all favorites at the moment, according to the odds published by BetOnline. Without a doubt, WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns is the biggest favorite to retain his belt as he stands at -800 against Finn Balor’s +450.

WWE Extreme Rules 2021: New Match Announced; Updated PPV Card

WWE Extreme Rules 2021: Champions Are Favorite To Retain 1

This is an interesting situation as WWE feeds The Demon Finn Balor to the Tribal Chief at Extreme Rules 2021. The demon character of Balor has been undefeated as it’s one of the most protected characters in WWE history. But that’s likely coming to an end at the hands of Roman Reigns, this Sunday, a move that most of the fans may not like. But then again, WWE has to continue with Reigns’ undefeated streak, as well.

WWE RAW Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair (-150) is a slight favorite against Alexa Bliss (+110). This is a fresh feud on Raw that has just begun and we assume the angle will continue even after WWE Extreme Rules 2021. It won’t make sense, either if WWE ends another title run of Flair in a quick fashion.

WWE Extreme Rules 2021: Champions Are Favorite To Retain 2

Becky Lynch is also a favorite to retain her title as she stands at -350 against Bianca Belair +200. This match will mark the first title defense for The Man since her return at Summerslam. A win is a must for her as she is likely to stay on top of the Smackdown Women’s division for months to follow. After defeating Belair, Lynch would move forward to her next challenge, possibly Liv Morgan who is booked in a match against Carmella.

Early odds for WWE Extreme Rules 2021

However, odds for WWE SmackDown Champions The Usos vs. Street Profits, and Liv Morgan vs. Carmella weren’t published. Extreme Rules 2021 takes place on September 26 at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. Check out the early betting odds at a glance,

Becky Lynch (c) -350 vs. Bianca Belair +200 (WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship)

Charlotte (c) -150 vs. Alexa Bliss +110 (WWE RAW Women’s Championship)

Damian Priest (c) -500 vs. Sheamus +300 (WWE US Championship)

Roman Reigns (c) -800 vs. Finn Balor +450 (WWE Universal Championship)

How WWE Should Book The Heel Run Of Becky Lynch

“The Man” Becky Lynch recently made her return to WWE. She made a surprise entrance at SummerSlam and challenged Bianca Belair for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship. She defeated Bianca in only 26 seconds time to capture her fifth Women’s Championship in WWE.

The return of Becky Lynch was one of the most anticipated returns in the history of WWE. She was out from WWE for over a year. She went away from WWE because of maternity leave. During the time she was on top of everyone. She was the face of the promotion. She was a favourite of the fans. Naturally fans were waiting for her return for quite a long time.

How WWE Should Book The Heel Run Of Becky Lynch

She was first rumoured to return at WrestleMania 37. But she did not return until SummerSlam. Fans went really wild when they got to hear the entrance theme of Becky Lynch on that night. But the match was really poorly received. Everyone Hindi Reena and the fans watching at home very disappointed to see that match.

Everybody was expecting a good match from the duo. Bianca Belair really strongly since joining the main roster. She won the Royal Rumble match this year, she won the main event of night one of WrestleMania 37. She could not be beaten by the likes of Sasha Banks and Bayley. And lost against Becky in only 26 seconds time. Fans thought WWE would be burying Bianca after that.

But thankfully, Bianca was not buried and she came back even stronger. She kept on winning her matches and she would be challenging Becky for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship at the next pay per view event of WWE which is the WWE Extreme Rules.

Becky has turned heel in the process and this is her first ever heel Turn in WWE. Just like every time she is doing her own perfectly. Her heel turn was not been confirmed yet and she did not do anything really villainous so far but it looks like WWE is turning her heel slowly. Is it really a good thing?

Becky Lynch

The heel turn of Becky Lynch is really a very good idea. This feels like a fresh new breathe of air. But is WWE doing it perfectly? What would be the best way to turn her heel? And what would make her look even a stronger heel then she is right now.

We believe the WWE should put her in a stable. WWE should build a stable or a faction and should make her the leader of that stable. Currently there are a lot of wrestlers in SmackDown who had nothing to do. Zelina Vega and Carmella would be the perfect two fits for the mentioned stable. Something like the Bloodline. This would make Becky look really strong and it would be really exciting to watch as well.

Video: Becky Lynch Confronts WWE Fan Calling Her A Pu**y

Becky Lynch has been one of the top attractions of WWE Super Shows since her return at WWE Summerslam 2021. In a recent live event, the reigning WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion defeated Bianca Belair at the Times Union Center in Albany, New York to retain her title. WWE also promoted the show on their social media accounts by posting several pictures of The Man.

However, the event got attention for a different reason. Several videos have surfaced of Becky Lynch mocking and trolling the fans during the house show to solidify her heel character on TV. Once her title defense was over, a video showed that a fan was calling her “a pus*y” as she was leaving through the ramp.

In response, Becky Lynch confronted the fan and talked trash while holding up her title above her head in her trademark style. It was also noticed that the side-plates portion of the Women’s Title from the blue brand was covered with black tapes for some unknown reason. Being a non-televised show, WWE could have used that belt during that Albany event.

Becky Lynch retained against Belair at Albany event

As seen on the show, Becky Lynch played a villain’s role to the crowd in Albany throughout the match. Belair dominated most of the match until she had to digest a loss with a roll-up. The crowd was mostly behind a babyface Belair which was a good thing. At present, these two superstars are slated to compete in a title match at Extreme Rules 2021. They signed a contract this past Friday on SmackDown to make the match official.

Ric Flair Gave His Opinion On Bianca Belair’s Defeat At Summerslam

Two times WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair who is also a former sixteen times World champion recently talked about the WWE SmackDown women’s championship match between Bianca Belair and Becky Lynch at SummerSlam. He gave his opinion on the defeat of the EST of Smackdown.

Bianca Belair was scheduled to face Sasha Banks to defend the WWE SmackDown women’s Championship at SummerSlam. But Sasha Banks was not fit for the match, therefore the match was called off. Instead, it was Carmella who was given the opportunity to challenge Belair for the title.

Becky Lynch in the meantime made a surprise return and took out Carmella to challenge for the WWE SmackDown women’s Championship. Belair accepted the challenge and to shock the entire Arena, Belair was defeated by Becky in only twenty seconds time. This booking decision was vastly criticised by the world of professional wrestling and critics.

It seemed like Belair would be buried after this incident. But fortunately that did not happen. WWE did not give up on the push of her. She is currently the number one contender for the WWE SmackDown women’s Championship and Becky Lynch will defend her title against Belair at the next WWE pay-per-view event which is Extreme Rules.

Ric Flair who is also a former sixteen times World champion recently spoke on Oral Sessions where he talked about the WWE SmackDown women’s championship match between Bianca Belair and Becky Lynch at SummerSlam. He said;

“I didn’t like. Sometimes, I don’t understand what they do with anybody, Ashley included. But I didn’t like it at all. I think Bianca worked so hard. She’s really a nice person, and I like her husband. There’s a lot of things that make her pretty unique.

“I actually was hoping that someday, I thought it could be Bianca and Charlotte could really be huge one day. Obviously, the two best athletes in the women’s division. I mean, both Division I athletes, legitimately.

“And that’s a whole different way of telling a story, building up to an event, you know what I mean. Plus, the fact that they can do some stuff that nobody else can.”

WWE Star Becky Lynch, “I Can Be Bigger Than The Rock” In Hollywood

Becky Lynch has paved her way to be a megastar of this generation in her own style. Starting from main-eventing Wrestlemania to leave the company in her prime to be a mother, The Man has experienced it all. Now she is back on the blue brand as recaptured the top spot by becoming the Smackdown Women’s Champion, overcoming Bianca Belair at Summerslam 2021.

A lot of opportunities should be waiting for Becky Lynch, down the road and one of them should be a gig on the movies given how big star power she has become in the WWE. She hopes to become a bonafide Hollywood star, in the future so that people can know him even a bigger and better persona than The Rock.

The Superstar having the real name, Dwayne Johnson needs no introduction when it comes to the pro wrestling world. He is one of the all-time greats who went on to become the biggest star power in Hollywood after leaving the WWE. To date, he stands as the biggest example of a wrestler-cum-movie-star and Becky Lynch might just want to follow that lead.

Becky Lynch aspires to be a Hollywood superstar

While speaking with New York Daily News, the reigning Smackdown Women’s Champion revealed that she definitely wants to pursue an acting career in Hollywood and then also wants to be bigger and better than The Rock.

“I hope I can be bigger than The Rock and better than The Rock. The Rock is a good friend. The Rock is a great friend. But I’m on a different path and I’m different than The Rock and I’m not trying to be the next anybody. I’m the first Becky Lynch.”

When it comes to movies, The Irish Lass-Kicker is certainly not new to this world. Previously, she featured in The Marine sixth installment alongside WWE Superstar The Miz and a Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels. But that was seemingly the beginning for her in movies.

Even her husband, Seth Rollins stated that Becky Lynch will be a huge star in Hollywood someday, so it remains to be seen whether that prediction becomes true, someday or not. As of now, these two superstars remain the two pillars of Smackdown who keep on carrying on the load for the show.

Becky Lynch On Her Heel-Turn In WWE, “I Have Just Got Smarter”

Becky Lynch has been away from WWE television since May of last year due to pregnancy reasons. She then welcomed her first baby with her husband Seth Rollin by the end of 2020 but then she made her shocking return at WWE SummerSlam 2021 and headed right back to the top. As per the earlier reports, that return was a last-minute change of plans by the WWE creative team as Sasha Banks has to be replaced at the eleventh hour.

As seen during the match at Summerslam, Becky Lynch was immediately put into the Smackdown Women’s Championship match against Bianca Belair who went on to deliver a cheap shot at the former champion. She then won the match in just 26 seconds with a Manhandle Slam which was apparently a heel-turn by her. This was further solidified via a promo on Smackdown.

While speaking to the New York Daily News, Becky Lynch opened up about her transition of character on the main roster. She previously used to be a universal babyface and hence her heel-turn came up as a controversial choice. But as we’ve heard her on Smackdown, she only sees this turn as seizing the opportunity when the time was right.

Becky Lynch has some explanations for her heel-turn

After being absent from the WWE for a long time, she had to capitalize on a moment to show her intelligence in the ring. Becky Lynch did that with effectiveness and she doesn’t really care about what people have to pine about her on-screen character. Per her words, she’s only become smarter in order to make a statement.

“I just did what an intelligent person would do. If you haven’t been wrestling in a long time, then you’ve been strategizing. You’ve been strategizing because you haven’t been in the ring with this person, so then you are going to do something different. You are going to catch them off guard. And now suddenly I’m the bad guy because I came back even better than ever? I don’t really understand this talk about me being a heel. I haven’t changed. I just got smarter.”

It was ultimately a call by Vince McMahon to transition Becky Lynch to a heel. According to a report from Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline, The Man herself requested to don a villainous character upon return and that request was granted by the WWE creative team.

Becky Lynch Predicted Future Championship Win For WWE Smackdown Colleague

Becky Lynch is back in the WWE with WWE’s latest bygone pay-per-view event, SummerSlam 2021. Due to her and Brock Lesnar’s return, the show has been a huge hit. Also, the female returnee ended up winning the SmackDown Women’s Championship on that night from Bianca Belair in a record time of just 26 seconds. With that win, she now has a huge target on her back.

As seen on SmackDown following SummerSlam, Bianca Belair was ready to get her rematch with Becky Lynch for the title. Zelina Vega had the same pledge as she interrupted the duo’s conversation. Afterward, Carmella and Liv Morgan also appeared on the show to get a title match opportunity. This eventually set up a Fatal-4-Way Elimination Match for the challenger’s spot.

Despite not winning that Fatal-4-Way on SmackDown, Liv Morgan was all smiles during her interview with Kayla Braxton on the post-show edition of Talking Smack. The former Riott Squad member was excited about the fact that she not only eliminated one former SmackDown Women’s Champion in Carmella but when she also pushed another SmackDown Women’s Champion, Bianca Belair, to her limits.

Liv Morgan focused on Becky Lynch’s title

Liv Morgan may haven’t received an opportunity to square off against Becky Lynch for the Women’s Title but she feels like a winner,

“Honestly, I know I lost, but I feel like a winner. I feel fantastic! Not only did I bring Bianca Belair, the former SmackDown Women’s Champion, 2021 Royal Rumble winner, ESPY winner, but I brought her to the limit. I know no matter what, she is going to remember the day that she was in the ring with me. I have so many tricks up my sleeve, Kayla, that I’m taking this with a lot of gratitude. I honestly feel great!”

While at SummerSlam, Becky Lynch made her long-awaited return to become a five-time champion, at this time last year, she was on maternity leave. This did create a big void in the women’s division. Morgan mentioned that she would now like to follow through a statement that THE MAN told her just before leaving before that hiatus.

Becky Lynch Predicted Future Championship Win For WWE Smackdown Colleague 83

“You wanna know a little secret?” Morgan stated. “When Becky left, I gave her a hug goodbye. She whispered in my ear, ‘When I come back, you are going to be champion.’ I’ve thought about that every single day. She’s back, and I’m not champion. But I’m looking so, so, so forward to proving her right. Maybe, not on her timeline, but I’m going to be champion, and I’d love to take it off of Becky Lynch.” (quotes courtesy Wrestling INC)

Morgan may haven’t received a future title shot against Becky Lynch just yet, but she is focused on getting that opportunity, down the road. Many fans do feel that an up and rising talent like Morgan should be pushed into the title picture as she has all the tools to become a champion, one day. Only time will tell whether WWE agrees with this idea or not.

WWE Extreme Rules 2021: Potential Championship Matches For The PPV

WWE Extreme Rules 2021 is scheduled to be hosted, later this month as the next WWE specials following the 34th edition of Summerslam. No matches for the upcoming PPV have been announced from either Raw or Smackdown while there are plans to host some big-time matches for this popular gimmick-bases show.

As seen on this week’s episode of RAW, Team R-K-Bro (Randy Orton and Riddle) defeated WWE Champion Bobby Lashley and MVP in the main event to retain the RAW Tag Team Championship. Once the match was over, Lashley hit Riddle with a Spear and was intending to apply the Hurt Lock on him, but Orton laid the champion out with an RKO.

This could have been an indication of things to come in the coming weeks. According to the Wrestling Observer, Bobby Lashley vs. Randy Orton for the WWE Championship is planned for WWE Extreme Rules 2021 pay-per-view. Brock Lesnar’s Return; Summerslam 2021 Rematch Announced For WWE Super Smackdown

Roman Reigns will defend at WWE Extreme Rules 2021

From Smackdown, WWE is saving Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar for the main event of WWE Crown Jewel 2021 pay-per-view in Saudi Arabia in October. Extreme Rules 2021 will take place on September 26 that is before the Saudi event. On that night, Roman Reigns will defend the Universal Championship against Finn Balor.

But before that, these two have collided over the title on this week’s Smackdown. While there’s no update on the feud, chances are high that The Tribal Chief’s retention will only escalate the ongoing program so that a stipulated match could culminate at WWE Extreme Rules 2021. Roman Reigns has already completed a full year as the champion who won’t be dropping the belt anytime soon.

The only match officially announced for WWE Extreme Rules is Becky Lynch vs. Bianca Belair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. This is going to be a rematch for the title after Lynch snatched the title from Belair at Summerslam in just 26 seconds. The match was made official during this week’s SmackDown on FOX that took place at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida.

Meanwhile, WWE Extreme Rules 2021 will take place on September 26 from the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. At present, Belair vs. Lynch is the only match to be confirmed for the first post-SummerSlam PPV event.

Becky Lynch also addressed the fan backlash over how she took a cheap shot at Belair when she defeated Belair at SummerSlam. She felt sorry for absolutely nothing, cementing her heel turn. Belair then interrupted and said she’s not there to make excuses but then she also demanded a rematch for the title.

Carmella, Zelina Vega, and Liv Morgan interrupted as they also wanted a title shot. This led to a brawl and number-one Contender’s Fatal 4 Way Elimination Match featuring the trio and Belair. Belair won the melee and became the official challenger for the Women’s Title. Now the EST of WWE is coming to get back her gold from The MAN at WWE Extreme Rules 2021.

Brock Lesnar’s Return; Summerslam 2021 Rematch Announced For WWE Super Smackdown

Next week’s Super SmackDown will be a loaded episode and Brock Lesnar is likely to be the headliner of the show as he will make his return to WWE TV. It was officially announced that next Friday’s episode from the Madison Square Garden in New York City will have the former Universal Champion in attendance as he would focus on the current champion.

Paul Heyman featured a backstage segment of last night’s show where Kayla Braxton was interviewing him. His phone rang, with Lesnar’s theme song playing as the ringtone, and it was Lesnar was calling. Lesnar interrupted Heyman at one point and wanted him to deliver a message to WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

Heyman later told The Tribal Chief that they have a problem in the form of Brock Lesnar. Reigns downplayed the threat and said he will smash The Beast when the time is right, but he then started to worry as Heyman informed him that Lesnar will be in attendance for the Super SmackDown next week at Madison Square Garden. Reigns also worried about Lesnar might coming back to SmackDown to cost him the title defense against Finn Balor but that wasn’t the case.

The Super SmackDown from MSG will also have Seth Rollins vs. WWE Hall of Famer Edge on the card. This will be a rematch from SummerSlam which was won by Edge.

Edge ran out to make save and later challenged Rollins during a backstage segment. He promised to burn Rollins down one more time at MSG. He also noted that this time it will end worse than it did at SummerSlam.
