Smackdown – Charlotte Flair Comments On Another Potential Feud With Sasha Banks

The current WWE SmackDown Women’s champion Charlotte Flair who is also a record fourteen times Women’s Champion in WWE recently talked about another potential feud with the former six times Women’s champion Sasha Banks. Charlotte is currently not involved in any particular feud for the title.

Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks had a number of feuds before and in most cases, Charlotte came out victorious. They built up a rivalry at the beginning of the women’s revolution and they fought in some of the greatest women’s matches of all time.

Charlotte Flair Comments On Another Potential Feud With Sasha Banks

After the latest draft lottery, WWE teased another feud between the duo but for some reason that did not take place at that time. However the possibility of the feud was not gone. They were bound to feud with each other sooner or later since there was no other option left for Charlotte to feud for The Smackdown women’s Championship. It just had to come to themselves.

But in the meantime Sasha Banks got injured and the feud had been called off. There had been a concrete rumour of Sasha Banks winning the women’s Royal Rumble this year and challenge Charlotte for the SmackDown women’s Championship at WrestleMania 38.

It looked like that was the reason why WWE kept the feud intact when it was teased earlier. But a lot of fans was not impressed with this idea, even though it all remained speculations. The feud had nothing new to offer and that was one of the biggest reasons why most of the fans was not impressed with this idea.

But a feud between Charlotte and Sasha Banks is always exciting to watch since it offers some really cool matches as they are some of the top women not only in WWE but in the world of professional wrestling today.

After all the release is that WWE went through recently, there was not enough option either. So we had to be realistic in this case. But it looks like WWE is heading towards a different direction right now.

Maybe they are going to stop the brand split after WrestleMania 38. If this happens there will only be one chance left, Charlotte will win the Royal Rumble match and go on to challenge Becky Lynch in a title vs title match. Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns in a title vs title match is also been teased for WrestleMania 38.

So it looks like the brand split is coming to an end. And a match between Charlotte and Sasha is not happening very soon, at least at WrestleMania 38. It can definitely take place before that if Sasha gets medically cleared to work in the ring.

Charlotte Flair who is also a record fourteen times Women’s Champion in WWE recently spoke to TV Source Magazine where she talked about another potential feud with the former six times Women’s champion Sasha Banks. She said;

“Sasha and I haven’t had a program on TV in five years, but when we cross paths again on TV, I believe it will be what everyone expects and more.

“I’ve never had a full feud with Naomi. I would love to face her again. I want to do a full program with Shayna Baszler; I admire her and her background. I also think that Bianca and I will need to have a full program at some point.

“I had a taste of what we could do on Raw, and I would like to go back to that and have a full program. She’s so athletic and powerful, and I need more time with her. Rhea also definitely has unfinished business with me. I would love to share more moments with her. I really want to fight everyone. I’m a different performer now, and I guess I have unfinished business with everyone.”

Smackdown Star Sasha Banks Reveals Reason Why She Takes Break From WWE Schedule

WWE is one of those sports where not really any off-season is offered to its performers and Sasha Banks is aware of the fact. Being one of the top superstars of the company, she’s booked on TV shows as well as on house shows on a regular basis which makes things rigorous at times. This could be the reason why she keeps on taking a break from her busy schedule to be at home and enjoy some time with family.

Often, Sasha Banks moves into hiatuses with no definite reasons cited towards those. One of these appeared to be at this year’s Summerslam when she was a no-show despite being booked to compete then Smackdown Women’s Champion Bianca Belair in a title match. Eventually, Becky Lynch replaced her on that night to emerge as the new Women’s Champion on the blue brand.

Smackdown Star Sasha Banks Reveals Reason Why She Takes Break From WWE Schedule 1

A month later, Sasha Banks did return during Extreme Rules, ruining the rematch between Lynch and Belair but no reason was given as to why she missed Summerslam. As the mystery continues, The Boss recently appeared in an interview with The New York Post and she was asked about that sudden absence from TV around the biggest event of the summer. She had the most interesting way to dodge that question,

“There’s no reason. I’m not telling you anything… (laughing) You’re not Oprah. You’re not the WWE Network, you’re not getting me the views. I’m not telling you my secrets. You can read my book. You can read my documentary when I want to speak about it. Thank you very much.”

Sasha Banks seemingly enjoys sporadic schedule in WWE

In recent years, Sasha Banks has missed a lot of time from WWE TV and she has always been tight-lipped about the situation. One of those most infamous hiatus took place after Wrestlemania 35 when she speculated to almost quit the WWE after dropping the women’s tag team titles.

Even this year, the multi-time champion has been off the TV, already. WWE has never made any official statement about his appearance while she didn’t speak about the reasons, either. In this interview with NY, she spoke of the benefit of her much-needed breaks while retaining her on-screen Boss gimmick, fully intact.

Smackdown Star Sasha Banks Reveals Reason Why She Takes Break From WWE Schedule 2

“To me it’s not breaks. I’m kind of gone or off TV for one or two weeks. People think it’s like a big break. But you know there’s a lot of talent on the roster. It can’t always be the Sasha Banks show. I can’t be on every Raw and SmackDown, even though I wish I can…” Sasha Banks continued.

“I’m a big star outside of the WWE, if you didn’t know. So I’m really booked and busy. If I can’t make the jet on time, I can’t make the jet on time. I can’t just have the plane waiting for me on their hands and feet. I’m just really busy. To me it’s nothing. I’m just showing up to work when I’m booked for work.”

Sasha Banks will continue to be a top superstar on Smackdown alongside Charlotte Flair as both of these stars were picked by the blue brand during the draft 2021. Meanwhile, she might just continue to take breaks from WWE programming as it keeps her in a recharging state, all the time.

WWE Smackdown Preview (07/01/22): Brock Lesnar Appears As WWE Champion

Things are uncertain on WWE Smackdown, courtesy of a few injuries and absences following the inaugural WWE Day 1 PPV. There’s no certainty around the Universal Champion’s presence on the show but we do know the new WWE Champion will be there to kick things off for the blue brand in the New Year. Plus, we also expect to receive updates around the recent injuries on the show that is scheduled from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut.

The New WWE Champion Brock Lesnar will be in attendance in the potential headliner segment of WWE SmackDown. As seen on Monday’s RAW, Lesnar and Paul Heyman reunited on TV in the opening segment after nearly two years.

This happened after just two weeks since WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns fired Heyman from his Special Counsel’s position and attacked him on WWE SmackDown. This set things up in a big way for Lesnar vs. Reigns Universal Title match that was scheduled for WWE Day 1 this past Saturday. But that match was nixed due to Reigns testing positive for COVID-19 on that same night.

Lesnar was thereafter put in the WWE Title match, which he won and thereby clinched his sixth WWE Championship win of his illustrious career. While Lesnar has been shifted to raw with his title match win, the ongoing feud on WWE Smackdown isn’t over.

Lesnar sent Reigns “get well soon” wishes and then also mentioned that he will be seeing Reigns, tonight. There’s a confirmed update available on Reigns who is also medically cleared to make an appearance on the show.

In the main event of Raw, Bobby Lashley defeated Big E, Kevin Owens, and Seth Rollins to become the new number one contender for a WWE Title shot at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view. Via this win, Lashley is now set to get a shot at Lesnar’s WWE title at Royal Rumble 2022.

Top WWE Smackdown Superstar Drew McIntyre was victorious on Saturday night at WWE Day 1 in Atlanta as he defeated Madcap Moss in a match that went right around 10 minutes. Following the match, there was a backstage attack by Moss and Baron Corbin as the heel duo took out McIntyre.

Going by the reports of PWInsider, the backstage attack was done to write off McIntyre from television as he will be further tested on a legit neck injury. Apparently, he has been working through this injury for a few weeks. There’s no update is available on how severe his neck injury is as we expect an update on it.

Universal Champion Roman Reigns missed out on a portion of the WWE holiday tours amid the COVID-19 outbreak. He then also missed the WWE Day 1 PPV after getting tested positive for COVID-19 prior to the PPV. This resulted in his Universal Title defense against Brock Lesnar getting canceled. Sasha Banks Shares Her WrestleMania 35 Experience

Former six times WWE Women’s Champion Sasha Banks who is also a former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion recently shared her experience working at WrestleMania 35. She said that she felt nothing working at the event and that very moment she knew she needed a break.

Before WrestleMania 35, new championship was introduced to the WWE Universe and that was the much awaited WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, something that fans were looking forward to see for a very long time. Fans however are still looking for a mid card championship for women as well but that is a different story.

Sasha Banks Shares Her WrestleMania 35 Experience

The women’s Tag Team Championship of WWE was introduced just two main roster events before WrestleMania 35 and that was the Elimination Chamber pay per view event. Six women’s Tag Team wrestled inside the Elimination Chamber to win the inaugural WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.

The Boss N’ Connection (Bayley and Sasha Banks) won the first ever WWE women’s Tag Team Championship in the elimination chamber match in the Elimination Chamber pay per view event.

At WrestleMania 35, the Boss N’ Hug Connection defended the Championship against three different women’s tag teams, Beth Pheonix & Natalya, Nia Jax & Tamina and the IIconics (Billie Kay & Peyton Royce). The IIconics won the match to win their first and only WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.

It was a pretty average match and not from any angle it was a WrestleMania classic. And it was another defeat listed for Sasha’s WrestleMania career as we all know she does not have any victories at WrestleMania yet.

Sasha Banks who is also a former WWE women’s Tag Team Champion recently spoke to BT Sport’s Ariel Helwani where she shared her experience working at WrestleMania 35. She said that she felt nothing working at the event and that very moment she knew she needed a break. She said;

“Maybe, yeah 2019 I was at that WrestleMania when I was just like, ‘Woah, I’m not nervous. I don’t feel anything and this is Wrestle freaking Mania. I couldn’t believe it. The biggest fan, the girl that wanted this her entire life didn’t feel anything at the biggest show ever?

“I mean, this is every wrestler’s dream to be here, and at that very moment I knew that I needed to take a break and I was like, ‘Alright, I gotta go find myself.’ And I did and it’s the best decision that I ever made and I’m so thankful that I did.”

“It’s the energy that you feel. It’s the feeling, the numbness that you feel of going out there and not feeling the crowd the same way that you used to and not feeling that energy from them. If you go out there feeling numb and there’s no light in your eyes, if you can’t perform at your highest good, even though I did go out there and I put 110 percent, I was not loving it.

“There was no light behind my eyes and I wanted to find that again because this was my everything. This has been my life since I was 10 years old and I wasn’t gonna let it kill me. So, I was gonna find my light with it again. So, I took my break and it’s the best, best, best decision I ever made. It’s the best I’ve ever been.”

Sasha Banks is considered to be a locker room leader on Smackdown who was also the captain of the blue brand for the bygone Survivor Series team. Moving on from that PPV, she hasn’t been involved in great storylines, for the time being. But for sure, she’s all over social media, as always.

Sasha Banks is a critically acclaimed fashion expert who never fails to impress in each of her social media appearances. Now she apparently also impressed while making a surprise appearance in the Hollywood red carpet premiere for Spider-Man No Way Home. As you can see in the released photos on the internet, the Smackdown superstar turned on the heat in a slaying red number on the red carpet.

No update is available on whether Sasha Banks was there to represent the WWE on that premiere night for Marvel’s latest flick. For the WWE Superstars, it’s nothing new to be attending such mainstream media events. WWE itself conducted a show from Hollywood, this past Friday night via an episode of Smackdown from the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Once the show went off the air, the fans in attendance were treated to a terrific Fatal-4-Way match as RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch, SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair, Bianca Belair, and Sasha Banks faced off against each other inside the ring. As reported earlier, Lynch suffered a rare pinfall loss on that night at the hands of Banks who sent the crowd home on a happy note.

Sasha Banks has been the Smackdown Women’s Champion heading into the year 2021. She lost the title to Bianca Belair in a historic matchup at Wrestlemania 37. Since then, she had multiple attempts to regain the title which never appeared to be successful.

Despite the obstacles, Sasha Banks is having a good time on the blue brand as she’s enjoying her time in the WWE. During a recent interview with Ariel Helwani, she discussed how the 2019 hiatus gave her the boost-up for more achievements in her career,

“I felt that I did all that I could and I needed that break. I needed that release and Vince told me, ‘No’. That was a great decision on both ends. He knew what he saw and he is so intelligent, he is so kind and gentle. He actually knew what I needed, which was ‘time’, at the end of the point all of want a little bit of time.”

Smackdown – Trish Stratus On A Potential Dream Match With Sasha Banks

Professional wrestling legend and WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus who is a former seven times WWE Women’s Champion recently talked about a potential dream match with the former six times WWE Women’s champion Sasha Banks. The former seven times Women’s champion said that she would love to face the twenty nine year old professional wrestler.

WWE never focused on booking dream matches after the end of the famous Attitude Era.  Fans kept asking for different dream matches but the promotion was quite stingy with this product. A lot of those dream matches that fans wanted to see where possible back in the time, but for some unknown reason the promotion decided not to grant the fans what they asked for.

Smackdown – Trish Stratus On A Potential Dream Match With Sasha Banks

There was a time when WWE could grant the ultimate dream match that fans were looking to see for ages; and that was the Undertaker vs Sting match. Instead, they decided to book a match between Triple H and Sting at WrestleMania 31.

On the other hand, they booked a match between the Undertaker and Bray Wyatt on the same event. Just if they switched the opponent in these two matches, the fans could have gotten what they actually wanted to see.

But since the arrival of the Saudi Arabian events, WWE decided to book dream matches in almost every event. But most of the wrestlers that was booked in those dream matches were past their Prime.

Such as the match between the Brothers of Destruction and D Generation X or the match between the Undertaker and Goldberg. The matches could have been wrestling classic if they were booked while their Prime, but unfortunately they turned out to be some of the worst worked matches ever.

Trish Stratus who is a former seven times WWE Women’s Champion recently spoke to Vibe 105.5 FM in Toronto, Ontario, Canada where she talked about a potential dream match with the former six times WWE Women’s champion Sasha Banks. She said;

Trish Stratus

“She’s an amazing athlete. People sort of fantasize about that match because we had a little bit of a face-to-face when I went back for the Women’s Royal Rumble. And who knows, that is appealing to me. I think she is a fantastic athlete.

“She has brought so much to the company and elevated women in the industry from what she’s done and I think fans would love to see that. I would love to whoop her butt and prove how I’m the best and you know stuff like that.

“So yeah, so to close up our conversation let’s leave it with that little button and say perhaps one day if I decide to go back in the ring, I might have to deliver a little Stratusfaction to the bank… to The Boss there you go.”
