Adnan Rasool has been reported for suspect bowling action following his team ,the Lahore lions, four wicket loss to the Kolkata Knight riders at Hyderabad on Monday. The severity of the ICC comes in wake of the temporary suspension of world’s best ranked T20 bowler, Saeed Ajmal. There has been increasing scrutiny launched by the Cricket Council, specifically applicable to those off spin bowlers who bowl in the match wearing full-sleeved jerseys.

However in the case of Adnan Rasool, some amount of leniency has been shown as he is eligible to continue to bowl in the Lahore Lions outfit as they surge to become the first Pakistani team to come to India and win a tournament of such high stature and significance.Adnan rasool was found to overflex his shoulder by an angle exceeding the limit of fifteen degrees established by the council.

Adnan is a player who is very new to this slam-bang form of cricket, but showed great skill and composure during the fixtures of the lions.Banning him would have dealt a massive body blow to the Lions who under the captaincy of the Professor-Mohammed Hafeez have captivated the cricket viewers imagination with the kind of intensity thy have shown so young in the tournament.

Rasool has been currently put in the warning list by the boards committee and his bowling action will continue to be scrutinised for the matches he plays for the Lahore lions over the remainder of their matches in the round robin league.

The committee has however made it clear to Rasool that by no means he would be allowed to bowl if he is reported again whilst already on the warning list.

Rasool may request BCCI to provide him a committee for testing his action in the next few days. After the match he was reported for suspect action by the third umpire as well as the on-field umpires
