Just two days after the BCCI allowed the Duleep trophy players to participate in TNPL, it is heard that R. Ashwin will play TNPL after his return from U..S. It is a big relief for the franchise and the owners. Dindigul Dragons team who Ashwin is a part and captain of will kick off their campaign from today but they will get the services of Ashwin from the next game only. The addition of all-rounder in the squad will be a big advantage for them as Ashwin is in superb form and also his addition in the team will give every player confidence and courage.
“It’s a big plus for us that R Ashwin will be part of the team from the second game which is on August 30, and we have the team to deliver the goods in the opening game,” said Dindigul Dragons coach Venkataramana, on the eve of the clash.
However, this clearly shows that R. Ashwin will not be part of the Duleep trophy fixtures in the upcoming days.
The second Ashwin from Tamil Nadu, Murugan Ashwin who shot to fame in the IPL auction will also be available for selection for today’s game despite the fact that India blue, which he is a part of is having a match scheduled for Monday. So tomorrow Murugan Ashwin will fly to Greater Noida and may fly back if he is not picked in the final XI.
Earlier Murali Vijay too came back to Tamil Nadu to participate in the TNPL league because he was not part of playing XI.
Well, it will be interesting to see that how players will manage their trips from Greater Noida to Tamil Nadu.
