Anushka Sharma, girl friend of Virat Kohli has not been allowed by the BCCI  to accompany Virat Kohli in Australia. This means Anushka won’t be able to cheer for Virat Kohli in Australia. This holds for all the girl friends of Indian cricketers.

Earlier during the England series, Anushka Sharma was held responsible for dismal performance of Virat Kohli and a lot of debate surrounded over the topic of whether Anushka should have been allowed to join Kohli. The duo earlier were seen celebrating their vacations in Barcelona.

BCCI has reportedly allowed the wives of the Indian players to accompany their husbands in the ongoing tour of Australia but has not allowed the girl friends of the Indian players to do the same.  This means that several Indian cricketers may see their wife landing on Australian soil before the start of the Boxing Day Test match , including the likes of MS Dhoni, Murali Vijay, Umesh Yadav, Cheteshwar Pujara and Shikhar Dhawan.

Indian Team is presently in Australia for a 4 match Test series followed by a ODI tri series with Australia and Englnad and will be returning home only after their World Cup campaign.
