The entertainment provided by the teams has seen fans from all around the world hooked to their televisions and has seen some major personalities stand up and take notice of the sport.

And adding to the ever-growing fan base of the tournament, Apple Inc, CEO Tim Cook was in India watching an IPL game.

The 55-year old, who is at the helm of one of the biggest chain of gadgets is on a 4-day tour to India where he is set to meet a number of high profile politicians, industrialists, and celebrities.

He landed in Mumbai a couple of days ago and started his tour of the country with a visit to the famous Siddhivinayak Temple in the city.

He was also seen at a private party organized by star Bollywood fame and KKR owner Shah Rukh Khan along with a number of other celebrities.

However, Cook also took the time to make the trip to the new Green Park Stadium in Kanpur for an IPL game.

He was a part of the audience for Kolkata’s game against the Lions and later in a press conference revealed that he was overwhelmed by the experience.

“It is incredible. I am already hooked on to it,” Cook said with a lot of excitement.

He went on to explain that though it was uncomfortable because of the climate in the city, he realized why the sport is so loved all over the world.

“It is tough to watch the game in this heat but I have never felt anything like this before. I see how important cricket is, how important sport is,” he added.

The 55-year old was reportedly invited by IPL Chairman Rajiv Shukla who accompanied him throughout the game. Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt who was recently released from prison was also present with the duo.

Cook went on to explain the importance of the country to his company.
