The issue of hoardings and advertisements related to MS Dhoni has now reached to ICC and we may soon see the changes. Earlier, in the image used for advertisements, (which had 7 players of the various teams who have already qualified for the main event of the T20 World Cup 2016), ‘ India’ is missing from MS Dhoni’s jersey, while the other captains had their teams named on the jersey.
Earlier the concerned authorities had said that there’s nothing wrong in the image but have now termed it as a design error. Now the matter has reached to BCCI and they have taken this issue to ICC.
A person in BCCI who is a part of the organising committee said that after they took this to ICC, they have been said that it will be corrected. On the other hand, an ICC spokesman denied commenting on this matter.
The other players on the image are Corey Anderson from New Zealand, Angelo Matthews from Sri Lanka, David Warner from Australia, Dale Steyn from South Africa, Jos Buttler from England and Chris Gayle from West Indies. No Pakistani player is on the image.
This image was prepared by Piyush Pandey of Ogilvy advertisement agency, who had once said that there was nothing wrong with the image and had added that he will ask his office mates for feedback before making any changes.
