ICC T-20 World cup is in the past for team India. Now star player like Dhoni, Virat and Raina are focusing on IPL. India’s limited-overs skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni shared the first photograph of him training with his new team-mates for IPL franchise Rising Pune Supergiants.
Dhoni, who led Chennai Super Kings since the inception of IPL, was appointed as the skipper of the new franchise in January earlier this year.
After having made the most successful bid for a new franchise, Dhoni was Pune’s first pick in the player draft in December. The other four key players picked were Ajinkya Rahane, R Ashwin, Steven Smith, and Faf du Plessis.
The opening ceremony of the Indian Premier League 2016 will be held April 8 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The first match of the tournament is slated for April 9 that will be played between defending champions Mumbai Indians and newly introduced Rising Pune Supergiants.
