I Didn’t Score Two Triple Centuries: Virender Sehwag’s Cheeky Reply To Student Who Defended Pakistan
Feb 27, 2017 at 3:52 PM
Pakistan has always been the target of Virender Sehwag, right from his playing days. The former swashbuckling opener had made life tough for the arch rivals during his playing career and the trend has continued even after he has retired from the game.
Sehwag rarely misses any opportunity to troll Pakistan and the Nawab of Najafgarh has once again taken a dig at the arch-rivals. The episode unfolded when a student from Delhi, Gurmehar Kaur, daughter of Kargil martyr Captain Mandeep Singh, began a campaign on Facebook against the violent attacks in Delhi University’s Ramjas college.
Gurmehar changed her Facebook profile picture holding a placard which read: “I am a student from Delhi University. I am not afraid of ABVP. I am not alone. Every student of India is with me. #StudentsAgainstABVP”.
“The brutal attack on innocent students by ABVP is very disturbing and should be stopped. It was not an attack on protesters, but an attack on every notion of democracy that is held dear in every Indian’s heart. It is an attack on ideals, morals, freedom and rights of every person born to this nation,” she said in a Facebook status. “The stones that you pelt hit our bodies, but fail to bruise our ideas. This profile picture is my way of protesting against the tyranny of fear,” she added.
As expected, her posts was a huge hit on the social media. Students from across the nation supported her campaign by changing their profile pictures with the same placard.
Meanwhile, Gurmehar is currently facing the flak of Twitterati for one video she had released in May. In her video, she had said: “Pakistan did not kill my dad, war killed him.”
And Sehwag too has joined the bandwagon who are against Gurmehar’s claims related to Pakistan.
Posting a picture of himself holding a placard which read:” I didn’t score two triple centuries, my bat did”, Sehwag tweeted:“Bat me hai Dum! #BharatJaisiJagahNahi.”
