Steven Smith, who will be leading the Rising Pune Supergiant in the upcoming edition of Indian Premier League (IPL), has said that he does not know whether he is one of the players, whom Virat Kohli talked about in his tweet in the morning today.
“I don’t know if I am one of those couple of players Virat was hinting at in his tweet today. That is for Virat to answer. For me the series is done and dusted and India have outplayed us. I am now ready to lead a new bunch of team at the Pune Supergiant,” Smith said during a promotional event in New Delhi.
The much talked and controversial series between India and Austalia ended on March 28 with the home side cruising to a win over visitors in the final Test at Dharamsala to have the last laugh and clinch the series by a margin of 2-1. Shots were fired during the series from both the ends and it was Indian skipper Virat Kohli who said that he will no longer be friends with the Australian team following the rude behaviour from counterparts.
But today, he cleared that not every player from Australia, but only a few players with whom he will never be friends again.
Both Kohli and Smith will have their next face off on April 16 and then on April 29 when their IPL teams play each other. Both the crunch games will be interesting contests to watch as both the captains will look to get over the other.
