The Wisden is an organization that felicitates all sporting events and captures the true and best moments all across the globe. One such category is the Cricket photograph of the year.

A photo taken by the Getty Images photographer Mathew Lewis of the West Indies all-rounder is picked as the Cricket photograph of the year 2014. During the last years T20 World Cup in Bangladesh, Bravo pulled off a stunner to dismiss Australia’s James Faulkner which helped them to win the match with two deliveries to spare. A picture capturing the effort from Bravo was chosen for the award.

Morne de Klerk from South Africa captured a stunning photo of the Australian and the South African players leaving the field at the end of days play at Port Elizabeth in February which was given the runners up in this category.

Lewis became the first photographer in history to win the title as well as the runners up in the same year when his picture of Nurul Hasan looking helplessly as his stumps shattered by a delivery from Dale Steyn picked the second runners up in this division.

Out of the 400 pictures from all around the World, the winning pictures will get a place in the Wisden Cricketers’ Almanack and a selected 11 pictures are to be displayed at Lords later this season.
