Gagan Khoda, Jatin Paranjape Set To Be Removed From India Selection Panel

Gagan Khodha and Jatin Paranjape are set to lose their job as the selectors of Indian cricket team as the Supreme Court of India has clearly stated the board has to abide by the rules and regulations set by the Lodha Committee.
According to Lodha recommendations, the selection panel can comprise of just three selectors with all of them having experience of playing Test cricket. This barrier rules out Khoda and Paranjape out of the equation as both of them haven’t played Test cricket and that automatically cuts down the selection panel to three.
This means that when next time the selectors will sit down to select the squad for one-off the Test against Bangladesh, there’ll be a trimmed selection panel comprising of three members.
“The present Committee is permitted as an exception to make the selections indicated. Going forward, it will have to be strictly in terms of the Supreme Court judgement,” Lodha panel secretary Gopal Sankaranarayanan sent an e-mail to the BCCI CEO Rahul Johri ahead of selection meeting that took on Friday (for the announcement of India’squad for England series)
