Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan feels that is lucky to have been picked in the IPL by Chennai Super Kings and he would like to do anything to get his fading career back on track.

Pathan, who dreams of playing for India again, said that he needs to take it step by step and make full use of the chances he gets to play for CSK.

Irfan, who made a comeback in 2012 into the national team, wants to recreate that form but will have to wait to get into a side full of all-rounders in CSK. He added that he is clear with the plans that the coach has for him and that it depends on how Dhoni uses him, how his season goes.

Pathan, who played for 3 different teams in the IPL before, said that he was mentally ready for the challenge. He added that the new team for him is not going to be hard to get used to as he has already played with some of the players. He also added that he is excited to play for the most successful team in the IPL and that bowling over 150 overs in the Ranji Trophy will help him in the IPL.
