In the newly published ICC Test ranking South Africa retains its numero uno spot with 125 while India is back on the 6th position in the newly published ICC Test ranking India with 97 points as they got four points after winning the P.Sara Oval Test. India with a massive 278 run victory over Sri Lanka elevated to 6th position from a dismal 7th position while Sri Lanka slumped to a position where India was after the Galle Test defeat.

Meanwhile, Australia defeated England by an innings and 46 runs that helped Australia to bid their captain Micahel Clarke to victorious farewell in a series which was a disaster for Australia. But, this win helped them to replace England and regain the 2nd spot with 106 rating points, 19 points adrift of South Africa.

The new list has seen a few big changes. As England won the Ashes but lost the The Oval Test slipped to 3rd spot with 102 rating points, as a result, Pakistan, who in July won series in Sri Lanka, stands at 4th position with 101 points while New Zealand, who did not play a Test series since the World Cup is standing on the fifth position with 99 points.

The last three positions remain same as West Indies who lost series against Australia in June stands at no. 8 with 81 rating points while Bangladesh who luckily has drawn two consecutive Test series against India and South Africa due Monsoon season rain remain in 9th position but lost 4 rating points from their previous 51 points.

10th position nevertheless went to Zimbabwe, who has shown no improvement in Test cricket. Since 2011 they lost 11 Tests and has drawn two Tests.
