May 2, 2010 Suresh Raina scored his first international century in ICC World T20 against South Africa. Batting first India scored 186. India won and Raina was man of the match.
Exactly 3 years later, May 2, 2013: Raina scored his 1st IPL century against Kings XI Punjab. Batting first CSK scored 186. CSK won and Raina again was the man of the match.
Fame and Obscurity
In November 15, 1989 Sachin Tendulkar and Salil Ankola from India and Waqar Younis and Shahid Saeed from Pakistan made their Test debut.
While Ankola and Saeed were one-Test wonders, Younis and Tendulkar become all time greats.
Scored 113 – Conceded 113
In his debut Test, batting at no. 10 Bangladesh’s Abul Hasan scored 113, in the same match he conceded 113 runs without taking any wicket.
Australia and England played the 1st official Test match on March 15, 1877 at Melbourne Cricket Ground. Australia won it by 45 runs. At the same ground, 100 years later on March 12, 1977, Australia once again defeated England by 45 runs.
