The Indian cricket team has acquired a cheque of USD 265,000 on Tuesday for getting the third position in the Asia Cup. At the same time, South Africa has obtained USD 475,000 for acquiring the prior place in the ICC Test Team Ranking at the April 1 cutoff date.

Australia postulated the second rank, following an acknowledgement of a cheque of USD 370,000, while, England got the amount of USD 160,000 for securing the fourth position.

The Proteas have grabbed their superior position in the ranking since August 2012, whereas Australia, India and England have acquired the other places.

ICC Chief Executive David Richardson has handed over the cheque to the Cricket South Africa (CSA) chief Haroon Lorgat, who has obtained it on the behalf of the association that got the superior Test ranking for the second consecutive year. South Africa, likewise, sustains the mallet, which is represented as the number-one Test team.

Richardson extolled the South African cricketers for their acquisition. “I applaud South Africa for excelling the ranking for the second consecutive year in our crest format.
