On Day 2 of the ongoing Bengaluru Test against Australia, all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin had his plans clear in his mind. He continued to bowl outside leg-stump to David Warner, who just fended off deliveries with his pads. Even before the start of the play, a good competition between the two was expected.
But Ashwin was waiting for something else, which Warner didn’t know. After getting a clear understanding of Warner’s plan, the Indian all-rounder just applied his master plan as this time, he hit the rough outside leg-stump and pulled back the length of the delivery a bit, which turned square and went onto castle Warner’s stumps.
The southpaw was left surprised by this much spin as earlier in the day, he was busy fending these type of deliveries but this one caused the damage. The hosts got their first wicket on the score of 52 with Steven Smith, the centurion of the last game coming in as the next man for the Kangaroos.
