The Five Wise men of Indian Cricket sat together and picked the 17 men squad that will play in the limited overs leg(5 ODI’s and one-off Twenty20) which begins on August 25. The Sandeep Pati led Selection Panel was accompanied by skipper MS Dhoni and coach Duncan Fletcher.

The ODI series against England will mark the beginning of India’s preperation for the 2015 World Cup. Umesh Yadav, Sanju Samson and Dhawal Kulkarni were rewarded for their brilliant performances in the quadrangular series doun under. The surprise inclusion comes in the form of Railways’ leggie Karn Sharma.

This series is the key for Suresh Raina who is known to have some weakness against Short Deliveries. If Raina fails to perform in the series, it will be difficult for him to take flight to Australia. As many as 12 changes were made to the ODI squad that toured Bangladesh. Robin Uthappa, inspite of havng a decent IPL and Bangladesh tour misses out the flight to England.

Squad: MS Dhoni (capt), Virat Kohli, Shikhar DhawanRohit Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane, Suresh Raina, Ravindra Jadeja, R Ashwin, Stuart Binny, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammed Shami, Mohit Sharma, Ambati Rayudu, Umesh Yadav, Dhawal Kulkarni, Sanju Samson, Karn Sharma.
