After the Bristol ODI was abandoned due to rain, the Natwest ODI series between India and England moves to the Sophia Gardens in Cardiff. Cardiff is one of the venues overseas where India has done well in the past. India has played three matches at the venue and all the three matches are against different oppositions (South Africa, Sri Lanka and England). This is the venue where Indian stalwart Rahul Dravid played his final ODI innings (against England in 2011) in which he scored 69.

The current team led by MS Dhoni will look to end their poor run in England in the Welsh city. Winning the match will help India going into the reminder of the five match series.
