Mumbai Indians (MI) have suffered yet another injury blow as their key all-rounder Corey Anderson has been ruled out of IPL 8 with a fractured finger. Earlier, Aaron Finch was ruled out of the season because of hamstring injury.

Anderson, who missed Mumbai’s last game against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), will be heading home for the full assessment of the injury. It has not been confirmed but reports say that there is a high possibility of Anderson missing the New Zealand’s tour of England England, which commences in the third week of April. He had a good start to IPL 8, scoring 114 runs in 4 matches at an impressive average of 38 with two fifties. Hard-hitting Auckland batsman Colin Munro has been called up as a replacement for Aaron Finch by Mumbai Indians but it still remains to be seen as who will replace Anderson.

Earlier, RCB’s Adam Milne also got ruled out of the tournament due to a heel injury. Sreenath Arvind was named as his replacement.
