Sunday night saw a thriller of an IPL final, leading to last ball finish and a one-run win between two of the most balanced sides of IPL 10, Mumbai Indians and Rising Pune Supergiant.

They have done it in style. At times during the season, Mumbai Indians surprised themselves with the stunning victories throughout the season. There was no initial stutter, as they’d been notorious for.

They didn’t drop points to any of the bottom three sides – RCB, GL or DD and were only bothered by Pune over the campaign. Before the finale, Mumbai based-outfit lost to Pune three times but had their revenge taken in their last game.

If the first-time finalists Rising Pune Supergiant thought they would boss over the big boys of Mumbai, they were in for a rude shock, as Rohit and Co stifled their chase with Jasprit Bumrah and Mitchell Johnson sounding their death knell with two brilliant last overs that pinned them to 128 for six.

Thus, the fans flooded their love for the team who were for first time crowned thrice in all these years. Social media was flooded with everyone sending love and appreciation for such a great performance.

Even the cricketers took to twitter to congratulate the Mumbai Indians. Gautam Gambhir, whose team Kolkata Knight Riders had earlier lost to Mumbai in the second eliminator also congratulated Mumbai Team efforts.

He tweeted,

Cricket is always the winner. Congratulations on the title. ” along with a picture
