The seventh edition of the Indian Premier League which ended a night ago saw several Indian players made their presence felt. Over 120 Indian players took part in the tournament and proved a point to the selectors. This season also saw many new faces like Manan Vohra, Akshar Patel unleashing themselves to the cricketing fraternity. We bring you the Indian XI of the IPL which has been chosen from a probable of 20 top performers in the tournament.

Among these twenty probables, the Orange Cap holder Robin Uthappa and Purple Cap holder Mohit Sharma are certainties in the Indian XI of the IPL. The Playing XI constitutes five frontline batsmen, one wicket keeper, a solitary All Rounder, and two each in the department of pace bowling and spin bowling.

Virender Sehwag pairs Robin Uthappa at the top of the order as the second opener. Sehwag has been influential in Kings XI Punjab’s dream run in the tournament. He was consistent with the bat throughout the tournament.

Suresh Raina and Rohit Sharma pick themselves in the middle order of the Indian XI of the IPL. Raina has been consistent throughout the tournament and Rohit Sharma too was consistent for Mumbai Indians and he was inspirational behind their march to the playoffs. Yusuf Pathan makes way into the side as the third middle order batsman. He played some crucial knocks for his side in the tournament.

As far as the wicket keeper is concerned, there should be no second thoughts in picking Mahendra Singh Dhoni who also takes the role of finisher. Find of the tournament Akshar Patel earns a spot as the bowling All Rounder in the side ahead of Ravindra Jadeja.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Purple cap holder Mohit Sharma are the pacers in the side with Yuzvendra Chahal and Harbhajan Singh taking care of the spin department. Ravindra Jadeja is named as the 12th man for Indian XI of the IPL.
