Life is unpredictable. A player who couldn’t make into a team and after a normal performances makes into team that too as a captain. Of Course, we are talking about Suresh Raina. He failed to make into Asia Cup squad by he came back as captain for the Bangladesh Series.

It might be due to the resting of senior players but however been played most games among the present squad and captained Indian team already, Raina was preferred. But everyone gets a doubt whether he is a captaincy material or not.

To say he isn’t fit to the pressures job at this position where he is feeling pressure of making into national team. He captain Indian team for Zimbabwe Tri-Series in 2010 and West Indies ODI series in 2011. However he managed to win the West Indies series 3-2 but failed in Zimbabwe as India lost to the hosts twice and Sri Lanka once and failed to qualify for finals.

During that period Raina had players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Yusuf Pathan and some players who already made a good impact in the national team. Even with that squad he failed to win matches as his record stands 4 wins to 5 losses.

However all those four wins came while chasing and all the times players like Rohit & Virat led the team for victory. With the tracks in Bangladesh are more preferable for chasing Raina might be under pressure.

With all new bowling line up it will be tough for Raina to use the given options to defend a total and make it count against the hosts who are charged up to beat India.

But Raina himself must lead the team while with some brilliant inform players like Uthappa & Rayudu who were his team mates during 2004 U-19 World Cup are only other possible hopes for India during chasing.

Now it’s all left for us to wait for the series to begin an watch how does Suresh Kumar Raina deals with Captaincy, person who is been under pressure over personal performance.
