The Masters Cricket League  (MCL) has witnessed first auction  in Dubai.

Former Australia batsman Dean Jones, whose company Major Events Group will be running the Masters Champions League (MCL), has said the tournament is not pitted against a similar format promoted by Shane Warne and Sachin Tendulka. The tournamnet will be bigger than All Star Cricket league as six teams will lock horn in the two weeks tournamnet. 

Legendary cricketers like Brian Lara, Sourav Ganguly, Jacques Kallis, Brett Lee, Muttaih Muralitharan have been sold out in the ingaural Masters Cricket League (MCL).

The T20 tournamnet for the retired crickters is expecetd to run between Januray 28 and February 15. The tournamnet will feature six teams, and it will be held in United Arab Emirest.

Total 235 players rgsiteredt their namein the league. But only 90 formers crickters found a team. They will turn back in thte 22 yard field.

Six franchises- Libra, Leo, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Virgo and Gemini- had a total amount of $750,000 to spend in the auctions, and they had spent a combined $100,000 on two legendary crickters. According to the rules of the auctions, there are four catagories of players-Legends, Icons A+ and Associate country players.  

The base price for “icons” remained at $100,000 while the players who picked up 100 International caps or more (category started at price of $30,000.
