Shahryar Khan, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman told that Misbah-ul-Haq will not be enforced to quit as Pakistan skipper, and he will remain captain till World Cup unless he chooses to leave. Misbah has been facing problems with his staging. He forfeited from the final and 3rd One Day International against Australia in Abu Dhabi on Sunday, after a deprived run of form which had co-incided with four straight defeats in the ODI format.

He managed only 67 runs in the 2-1 series defeat in Sri Lanka; A duck and 15 in the two defeats against Australia in the current series but Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Shaharyar Khan told the decision to lead the one day team remains with Misbah. He also said that if he thinks captainship will not deliver, then it is up to him. Shaharyar Khan said that they scheduled Misbah till the World Cup and they were criticized for it, and now they will face more censure as he has not scored runs. Top officials are already evaluating other prospective heir.
