Indian bowler Mohammed Shami has been going through difficult time. He spent nearly a year away from cricket due to a knee surgery. Just when it seemed he has fully recovered and ready to lead India’s pace attack once again, he pulled his hamstring and was ruled out of the Australian tour.

He returned home from Australia last week and was looking to getting fit once agin so that he cane be available for selection for the World T20. In an another unfortunate event, his brother, Mohammed Haseeb, has been arrested by the Amroha police for getting into a scuffle with policemen who had gone to investigate a matter related to cow slaughter.

According to the reports, Haseeb wanted the police to release the accused of the cow slaughter. The argument went out of hands and he allegedly tore the uniform of one of the officials.

While the main accused, along with other cattle smugglers, managed to flee, the police arrested Haseeb.

A case has been registered against Haseeb and a few others.

Shami, who was part of India’s 15 member ODI squad for Australia, recently flew back home due to a hamstring injury.
