Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni lavished praise on Ashish Nehra for his outstanding spell and expressed satisfaction that his team could held on to the nerves in a nail-biting win against Delhi Daredevils (DD) at Chepauk on April 9th.

“You have to hold on to your nerves,” said Dhoni after a one-run win over Delhi in a last-over thriller at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.

“I thought the last one was in the slot (for Albie Morkel), and Bravo won’t be happy with the ball he bowled, but it is good to win close games.

“Nehra is good, at times he is prone to injuries, but he backs himself, which is good for a fast bowler. It is good to see him the way he bowls. He has kept himself fit. He is one Indian pacer who bowls pace effortlessly,” he added.

Nehra, who finished with impressive figures of 3-25 in 4 overs, lauded his side for the good show but said that batsman should have posted a total of around 170.

He said:

“The way we started we were definitely 15-20 short,” said Nehra, who returned with figures of 4-0-25-3.

“In T20 games every run is important. You can see the score so that run-out was important. A good start. These two points will count in the end. These are the games you want to win.”

Apart from this, Nehra was also seen giving valuable tips to Dhoni during the last ball of the match, when DD required 6 runs and Albie Morkel, who played a gritty 73-run knock, was on the strike. Here are the vines of it:
