The famous cricketing brothers, Irfan Pathan and Yusuf Pathan are on the way for setting up a new partnership off the field. They have recently launched their new initiative named Cricket Academy of Pathans (CAP). Through means of this academy, the Pathan brothers aim to start academics throughout the country and have also teamed up with the former Australian cricketer and the most controversial coach of the Indian Cricket team, Greg Chappell. The brothers admitted of the fact that they will not be actively involved in the coaching as they are currently fully focused on their respective careers.

At the launch of CAP in Mumbai, Irfan said that Cricket has given them a lot and it was their turn to return the favour to some extent so they chose for this option of setting up an academy. He also said that the children in school can train there.

The modules of these academies have been developed by Greg Chappell and will last for eight to nine weeks.  It was also said that the coaches of the academy will also undergo training for the purpose. Also in the academy, there will be nutritionists and psychologists.

The Pathan brothers admitted that at the present moment it is quite of impossible for them to manage the academy as they have nearly around 6-7 years of playing career left. But it will be managed by other officials. Also the Pathan brothers claimed that they have a bigger aim and by 2015, they aim to set up 50 academics throughout the country.

On speaking through a web media, Chappell said that he is pretty much excited to work with the Pathan brothers and he also likes the initiative.

He also said that Cricket is a game that has to be learnt. It can not be taught.

Yusuf and Irfan both said that they are working hard to regain their spots in the national team and are hopeful enough that they will be back soon.
