India A lost to Australia by just 1 run at Mackay earlier today. It was an amazing match as Australia scored 322 runs in 50 overs. India A made a good effort to chase down this target but fell short of the target by just 1 run. India A had already made it to the finals of the tournament.

Chasing a massive target of 322, India A lost an early wicket of Faizal for 12. Shreyas Iyer could not contribute too much as he was dismissed by 13 runs. Mandeep Singh and Manish Pandey put up a 46 runs stand for the third wicket. Mandeep Singh was dismissed for 56. Kedar Jadhav was dismissed for a quick fire 20 off 17 balls.  Mandeep Singh and Sanju Samson steadied the innings with a crucial partnership of 157 runs in 20 overs to help India A come close to the target. Manish Pandey scored a brilliant ton. After Manish Pandey dismissal, Pandya also failed to contribute much. India A needed 9 runs to win off last over but Sanju Samson was dismissed on second last ball meant, India A lost the match by just 1 run.

India A won the toss and choose to bowl. Australia A lost an early wicket of Stonis at the score of 16 .  Patterson and Maddison put on 230 runs for the second wicket in 35.1 overs. Both batsmen were dismissed in quick succession. Maddinson and Patterson scored centuries. Bancroft and Whiteman quick fire contributions helped Australia A posted a competitive total of 322. Thakur was the pick of the bowlers who picked 2 wickets in 8 overs. He gave away 50 runs. Pandya , Unadkat, and Varun Aaron picked 1 wicket each. They were on the expensive side.

India A will play the finals of the tournament on 4th Sept.
