Gujarat Lions all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been reprimanded by the match referee for showing dissent at the umpire’s decision during his side Indian Premier League match against Kings XI Punjab.

Gujarat Lions all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been reprimanded by the match referee for showing  dissent at the umpire’s decision during his side Indian Premier League match against Kings XI Punjab.

“Mr. Jadeja admitted to the level 1 offence (Article 2.1.5 of the IPL Code of Conduct for Players and Team Officials) and accepted the sanction.” a statement from the IPL organisers said.

Gujarat Lions lost the match to Kings XI Punjab by 23 runs in a low scoring match. Jadeja has scored 11.

Kings XI Punjab batting first scored 154 with the help of captain Murali Vijay’ 50.

Gujarat Lions started their innings lost their top half for 39 runs. Jadeja coming at Number 5 scored 11 before he edged Axar Patel to wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Shaha.

For Level 1 breaches of the IPL Code of Conduct, the match referee’s decision is final and binding.

Kings XI defeated Gujarat Lions by 23 runs to stop their winning march in the IPL on Sunday.

Jadeja’s contribution with his  bat nowadays invisible. With the ball in hand, Jadeja also failed to show his charisma as he conceded 28 runs in three overs  and took only one wicket.
