Sanath Jayasuriya, Sri Lanka‘s former opening batsman and one best player Sri Lanka has ever had. It’s hard to imagine that for the first half-decade of his career, Sanath Jayasuriya was considered a bowler who could bat a bit. Sanath Jayasuriya is a equally good bowler and a power hitting batsman. Sanath Jayasuriya currently the chief selector of Sri Lankan national team. Sanath Jayasuriya successfully undergone a minor heart surgery. Sanath Jayasuriya had a blockade in his heart which was the main problem. The doctors used a stent for one of his coronary arteries so as to clear blockade and it was successful. He has also been allowed to leave the hospital and he is perfectly alright. The news of recovery is great news for the cricketing world, as he is one of the best players of the world.

Sanath Jayasuriya was receiving treatment at Nawaloka Hospital in Sri Lanka, for a few days until he was released after recovering from the minor heart blockade. Sanath Jayasuriya has been told to take complete rest till he recovers totally from the minor heart attack. He would go through the recovery process at his home , a spokesman for the Sri Lankan great was quoted as saying

Sanath Jayasuriya, known for his power-hitting  played 100 Tests, 445 One-Day Internationals (ODIs) 31 Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) for his country. Sanath Jayasuriya went onto score 14 Test hundreds 31 fifties. In ODIs also Sanath Jayasuriya scored  28 centuries and 68 half centuries. He was one of the best ODI batsmen scoring above 13,000 runs. His bowling career was also good and in ODI he took above 300 wickets. For Sri Lanka Sanath Jayasuriya was one of the best all rounder ever played, so his fast recovery from the blockade is prayed by every cricket fans.
