Shakib al Hasan,the former captain of Bangladesh finds himself in yet another controversy after the all rounder was allegedly involved in an altercation with a spectator during the first ODI against India in Mirpur on Sunday.
Nizamuddin Chowdhury, the acting CEO of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) said that they will listen to the debate and give both the sides to keep their points and then only will decide the result. He added that they just heard of the incident like others in the country and have no details about the incident and it’s too early to call a decision before listening to both sides.
Bangladesh lost this match by 7 wickets, which was a rain curtailed match and the second innings was cut down to just 16 overs.
Mushfiqur Rahim, the captain of Bangladesh cricket team had a differnent opinion about it. He said that whatever happened , if happened , has to come on the team. Whole team is responsible for it. He added that the media should go to the management and he is not the right person to about this , and the time this incident is said to have happened, he was busy calculating the match situations .
According to a Bangladesh’s local newspaper, someone in the stands teased Shakib’s wife . She was in the VIP stands. This all brought the anger in him. Earlier this year, Shakib was banned for 3 ODIs and missed some Asia Cup matches just because of this. He made an inappropriate gesture during the 2nd ODI against Sri Lanka and did not looked good publicly.
