With skipper Virat Kohli down with a shoulder injury, team India has been dealt a colossal blow, as the Delhi lad could well miss the fourth and final Test at Dharamshala. In order to have a backup for Kohli, Mumbai batting sensation Shreyas Iyer was named in the side. Iyer is fresh from a sparkling double ton, which he scored against the Kangaroos in a warm-up fixture at the Cricket Club of India (CCI) in Mumbai.
Along with Iyer, the BCCI in a tweet confirmed that ace pacer Mohammad Shami was back in the scheme of things as well. With Shami in the squad, it is more than safe to say that the Bengal pacer will play the decider Test. Struggling with several injuries, Shami was finally deemed fit for the Test and is likely to share the new ball with Umesh Yadav.

Ahead of the game, skipper Virat Kohli mentioned that he would play only if he was 100% fit. “Physio wants to give it a bit more time till I can test myself, and probably we will take a call later tonight or tomorrow before the game. We will have to give it that much time more to make a call with the physiotherapist,” said Kohli.
“Certainly, at this stage, the injury has an element of being aggravated in the field. While batting, there is no problem whatsoever of it getting aggravated. I have taken medication after the last game, so I am just hoping that it takes me a bit more time to get back to the normal movements that I have. As I said, I have to give it a few more hours and take that call.”
