Former Australian Test cricketer Doug Walters has demanded forcefully that current captain Steven Smith is almost infallible and has a great perseverance, but He wants to see more daring from him as an Australian skipper.

News.com.au reported that Steve Smith scored 117 runs on the 2nd day of the 4th Test against India at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) was the captain’s 4th ton of the series. The batsman joined Don Bradman, Walters, and Neil Harvey on the list of Australians to have achieved the coup. Steve Smith is also the 1st man in cricket history to score tons in his first 3 Tests as skipper.

The former big-hitting batsman stated that Steve Smith is almost infallible. He also stated that the captain has a great defensive strategy and great perseverance, but he just expects that they see a little bit of that sort of stuff in Steve Smith’s captainship and he is sure they would before the Test which organized at Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) is finished.

Doug Walters said that he is sure they would see a little bit bolder from Smith than what they have watched up till now. He added that one cannot condemn the captain much in his first 2 Tests for not being all that dismissive in his approach. Doug Walters said that one does not want to lose their 2nd Test match as skipper, so he can understand Steve Smith being a little bit orthodox.
