2008: Just one day old IPL had was already in the news when Brendon McCullum scored 158. But on April 19, 2008 it was the turn off Michael Hussey to score for Chennai Super Kings against Kings XI Punjab. Hussey scored 116 off 54 balls and CSK managed to score 240 scoring at a rate of 12.00 R.P.O. Mr Cricket hit 9 sixes and 8 fours in his innings. Though this score was hard to get but Kings XI fought hard and put up 207 on the board losing the match from 33 runs. But on the whole 447 runs were scored in this match.

2012: Deccan Chargers scored a good 157 runs against Delhi Daredevils on a pitch that was helping the spinners and thought it was a good score to defend but when Delhi came into bat it was Kevin Pietersen who took the attack and scored a classy 103* off just 64 balls.

It will be interesting to see if today’s matches can make it to the history books.
