All rounders play an important role in One day internationals which balances the team. Here we look at the top 5 current all rounders in ODI’s.

1. Mohammad Hafeez – Pakistan

The top ranked all rounder in ODI’s these days. He opens the bowling sometimes as per the situation of the game. He is also an opening batsman which gives the team a good platform for the team to build on. He bowls in the middle over’s too. The cut, pull are the favorite strokes for him. He is a good fielder in the slips too making him one of the Top all-rounders in ODI cricket.

2. Ravindra Jadeja – India

An excellent all-rounder for team India in ODIs. His biggest strength is that he manages to bowl stump to stump. He hardly goes for runs in ODIs and has a very effective economy rate. If the pitch helps him, giving some turn, he becomes more dangerous wicket taker. Apart from that he is a brilliant fielder and saves a lot of runs each match for his team. His batting has improved a lot over the years and contributes to the team’s success. In the recently concluded ODI series against England he took 7 wickets in the series.

3. James Faulkner – Australia

The Australian James Faulker might not be express speed with his bowling but the variations and the yorkers he bowls makes the batsman think how to go after him. Batting in the lower order and winning matches in hopeless situations is something he has made a name for himself with. He does not buckle under pressure and hits the ball on its merit. As a fielder his contribution on the boundary line is valuable. In the recently concluded series against Pakistan he scored a vital 33 to help the Australian reach a competitve total of 231.

4. Angelo Mathews – Sri Lanka

Arguably, the greatest asset for the Sri Lankan team at present. His batting has come off age and has been in great form in ODIs in 2014. He bowls when the team requires. In the recently concluded series against Pakistan at home he scored two nineties. His abilty to turn over the strike in the middle overs makes him a good allrounder.

5. Corey Anderson – New Zealand

Corey Anderson is an explosive batsman who can turn the course of the match within few overs with his powerhitting. He holds the record of scoring the fastest century in One day international which was earlier held by Shahid Afridi. An useful left arm medium fast bowler who bowls with good line and length. His slower delivery deceives the batsman easily. In the fiedling department too he is more than decent.
