One of the most promising speedsters of India at present, Varun Aaron hopes to play County cricket in time to follow. India had a horrible time in the test series against England where they were defeated after going up in the series by 1-0. Many said that India faced acute problems in playing in English conditions and bouncy tracks. Also, it was suggested by many of the Cricket greats that Indian cricketers should play County cricket to gain some valuable experiences of playing on such conditions. This was lacking to many in the squad in the Test series.

Also after the debacle, BCCI has released the players of regulations to play in County cricket and asked the players to play if they wish to. Recently, Cheteshwar Pujara joined the team, Derbyshire in the county. Aaron hopes to join the county too and add some valuable experiences to his tally.

Varun Aaron was one among the very few Indian bowlers who impressed many with a great bowling performance. His pace even surprised the English batsmen and Stuart Broad was badly injured while facing a delivery from him which was a bouncer at a fiery speed.

He was impressive with his pace but did not manage to bowl at right areas consistently and as a result of which he was short of wickets in the test series.

Just after the series, Aaron spoke about his bowling plans and he said that playing County cricket is one of those things which is on his high priority list. He said that one can learn many a things by bowling at English conditions and can easily get accustomed to the pace and bounce there. Also, he said that Cricket in England is pretty much competitive as the conditions there don’t favour neither batsmen nor bowlers completely. He also mentioned that it will be difficult for him to play County cricket in a regular manner as he has got busy schedules ahead of him. He also stated that if the IPL next year ends early, he will definitely look forward to play county cricket for atleast half a season there.
