It was one of the worst on pitch clash that tainted cricket yesterday night when Bangladesh was playing India at Mirpur Stadium. India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni elbowed debutant left arm medium pacer Mustafizur Rahman who took 5 wickets conceding 50 runs and cleaned up Indian middle order that paved the way Bangladesh’s 79 runs convincing victory over India. The controversial incident happened when India was batting on 124 for 4 in the 25th over. Rahman bowled a straight delivery, Dhoni flicked the ball towards long off. Rahman in follow-through instead of going right he opted to go left and tried to block Dhoni while he was running for a single. Irritated Dhoni had enough space to avoid Rahman, but he deliberately elbowed the rookie teenager who fell on the pitch. Rahman had to go for treatment.  

Bangladesh set a target of 308 for India batting in the first innings, in reply India got all out with in 46 over, scoring 228 runs, and defeated by 79 runs.
